ForeverYoung (and as I was writing this AdeleAgain) have responded with appeal information. Many thanks, my next research assignment ;)

I just found this on twitter via Ane

After Amber's lies around Johnny being late to the Keith Richards shoot and delaying it all, Ane has now posted a link on twitter to show Amber's bad behaviour in Australia in November 2017. She was not only far worse than her claims against Johnny but it was also witnessed by many people.

So the petition to remove AH from Aqua :censored: (thank you Lbock) has gone over 1.5 million. They've now set the target at 3 million!

Interesting if anyone was following yesterday - the pro-AH in Aqua :censored: went above 6,0000 only to be sent back down again as a load of fake accounts seemed to sign up.

Which leads you to the inevitable conclusion that there are more than 1.5 million actual people who are opposed to AH being in a major studio film. Not bots.

It actually got over 6,800 and I and others kept reporting the obvious bots with $@ and # in their name. So Change removed nearly 1,000.

Do you (or anyone else) know if the appeal documents will be available online? (Nic Wallis maybe?)

Same question here, any idea if Nick will be able to put the skeleton argument on his website?
I worry that the appeal might not be granted because the Judge wants to protect the "freedom of speech" above everything else. I want to find out if anything was written on this angle in the documents. By the way, I totally underestimated the public support and I am pretty amazed by the creative ideas circling around in the community on Twitter and elsewhere. Hats off!

This is an interesting article on the state of WB's money problems. The Umbrella Guy suggests that the reason Johnny was asked to resign from FB3 was all lies!

Yeah.... The Umbrella Guy seems to be going into full conspiracy mode here. Warner Media is not "falling apart", nor are they having money issues ah ah. As much as I hate their decision, HBO Max is doing very well, the theatrical business, like any other studio is bound to hurt because of Covid, but AT&T is full speed ahead on HBO Max and there are just no cashflow issues or anything of that sort. The layoffs and restructuring have been happening for a while, and for example Warner Max, which was to be a separate entity from Warner Bros, responsible for the HBO Max content, was folded back into WB to simplify matters.

Either Johnny was fired because they somehow mistakenly thought it'd make for good PR, or they imagined that the Virginia trial, plus Johnny appealing (which is going to surely take some time in his schedule to actually do) were going to become issues and he wouldn't be able (or they felt so) to commit 100% to FB.

Dan Fogler said important conversations are happening, so we'll see if anything comes of that.

Wow YSL (owned by L'Oreal - which is why AH is always clutching onto an YSL handbag I presume) have put up this campaign:

Ouch - well over 600 comments (they usually get a max of about 8 comments to their posts) - all calling out the hypocrisy of launching a campaign against abuse when an abuser is a spokesperson for them. I could not see one positive comment.

This is so frustrating because if the MSM reported this, the pressure on L'Oreal would be intolerable and then they would have to fire her. All because it would move the conversation onto the TV and radio where the company would be forced to defend their decision.

It maddens me. The story is right there - Dior backs JD and their Sauvage product is sold out in multiple places; does AH really sell that well for L'Oreal? I'd love to see some stats - she has such a low fan base, their products are very low costs/low value (I mean no disrespect to people who don't spend a lot of money on cosmetics etc) - does she really turn a dial at all on their stuff? Would they sell one less bottle of shampoo without her? I doubt it.

Loreal, this is a sad excuse to try to ingratiate your poor decisions to us! Yes, abuse is NOT love! As a DV survivor, I get triggered every time I see you embolden that DV Abuser, AH. I will never buy your products again until she is REMOVED from your 'women of worth', as your spokeswoman. So, you want us to recognize the 'key warning signs'?? How about your company learn to recognize the signs of a DV Abuser?! You have a chronic, violent Abuser, that you Apparently haven't recognized for what she is, working for you!! Remove AH!!

Apologies to the moderators I am expecting to be told off as this really is off topic but guess which men's perfume has been named men's perfume of the year by the fragrance foundation - oh I know he didn't create it but it is so good to see Sauvage out there being commercially and critically successful.

Justice Nichol has denied Johnny's request for appeal. He must pay NGN a large lump of their legal fees, but more money will be due once all the costs are figured by the court.

He, apparently can appeal to the next level https://archive.vn/X0PcF#selection-847.0-855.61

On November 2, after a three-week trial, Mr Justice Nicol ruled that Depp had violently abused Heard, a star of the Aquaman film, 12 times during their relationship. Depp’s lawyers had said that that he would appeal against the judgment, which he said was as “perverse as it is bewildering”.

Mr Justice Nicol has now dismissed Depp’s appeal application, saying that he did not believe that it had a “reasonable prospect of success”.

In his ruling the judge wrote: “The findings of fact by a first instance tribunal (particularly one, such as myself, who has heard oral evidence) are rarely open to challenge on appeal. In any event, I do not consider that the proposed grounds of appeal have a reasonable prospect of success (and that is also the case so far as the grounds of appeal suggest that I erred in principle or in law) and there is not some other compelling reason why permission to appeal should be granted.”

The judge has ordered Depp, 57, to pay The Sun £520,000 towards its defence bill by December 7 and a further £108,235 by January 22. The remainder of the legal bill will be paid after a detailed assessment of the costs.
The actor can take the case directly to the Court of Appeal.

They had a choice to skip Nichol and go straight to court of appeals, but I think it looks better that they followed the proper course.

He will have to pay a big chunk by Dec 7 but can still file and move forward. But, I don't believe he will be successful there either. Time to move on to VA, but let's see what his team decides

The judge decided who he thought was more truthful - and a court of appeals only has a transcript - they won't be able to judge body language, sarcasm, or anything else they have learned over the years about believing people. The texts and her July audio of the "headbutt" is damning. But let's wait and see if they make a statement.
