I totally forgot about the protective order. I admit that I lost track of the events for the VA trial and for me, the UK trial is much more present and maybe more important.
Simply can't accept how a "newspaper" can get away with defamatory lies and missinformation, so that people and truth are silenced. This will affect society deeply - on all levels. I want NGN to pay the price and back off.

It would be great if the outcome of the subpoenas (ACLU+CHLA) would undermine her credibilty and shed a new light on the UK verdict or help in the appeal, but I think we are missing on time for that.
AdeleAgain, you were absolutely spot on about the importance of it.

Probably for the best that Adam is quiet, I agree - but its frustrating to see him getting silenced. I have the same feeling about "Thatbrianfella" - seriously warned and silenced by iO.
Positive side: the petitions rising!

Someareborn - I have also been wondering about Brian who has said on a number of occasions that he is working on new videos - but I don't think it is iO that has stopped him putting them out - I think is was AH's nonsense counter suit which cited Brian and claims he was working for JD, with no more evidence than the fact Johnny followed Brian on instagram.

So I think frustratingly Brian has silenced himself. Not because she can do anything to him but because I suspect he worried it might in some small way harm or detract of JD's case.

Such a shame but on the other hand the extent to which his video on the first tape has been shared is - I believe - is one of the most important factors in swinging opinion behind JD. And thank goodness because these past three weeks or so would have been unbearable if we weren't part of a massive community that has just risen up and said "no way".

In a way I wish Johnny could have said after the tapes came out - that he was ending legal hostilities and let people decide for themselves. But it doesn't work like that and she would have carried on her farcical activities, hurting real victims of abuse.

Back to the ACLU/CHLA issue - I am not sure they will be allowed to introduce that in the UK case - as even if they get it in time it will be new evidence and appeals don't usually consider new evidence. Unless a case can be made that perjury was committed and the judge relied on the perjurious statements. I have absolutely no idea if that is even a thing in UK law. But I do so hope that justice is somehow, someway done.

I'm finished with WB. I can't believe a major movie studio would sink to the depths of a sleazy social media troll.

Heartbroken honestly I held out hope that WB would reinstate him once they saw the backlash. I don't want to wish ill of the Harry Potter franchise but the only thing that comforts me is that all the younger fans are so angry with JK Rowling with her stance on trans issues - genuinely, seriously angry - and I am glad to see they've embraced JD as an abuse survivor. If there are problems with FB3 the press would have blamed Johnny. Honestly that's the only thought keeping me sane. I was so excited to see what next he would do with Grindelwald.

Right pick myself up, shake myself down, sorry wallowing in misery.

This is a helpful thread on why Schillings went back to the same judge - all part of the procedure. Note the part which says this all suggests they believe they have a very strong case in the law.

What I find particularly disgusting in the MSM is their deliberate mis-reporting of this - as if it means JD cannot actually appeal. I don't export Deadline to necessarily understand the intricacies of UK law but newspapers like The Times have journalists with some expertise - they are deliberately mis-reporting.

The Sun have said nothing are they not allowed to? I am not sure of the rules - throughout the trial they reported away - if you could call it that.

Does anyone else find it slightly unnerving how quiet AH is? I was expecting more of a celebratory tone on her instagram.

This woman is a lawyer and posts many videos explaining things but she says the appeal to Nicol is procedure but why does it have to be him? It seems so unfair for him to be the one to make the decision not to grant the appeal.

Here is a bit more from Gre3f - please don't take this as gospel as he keeps saying in his posts he hasn't seen the documents and doesn't know what points of law they are focused on, neither is he a specialist in this area.

Having read it, this sounds like such an uphill struggle and I wonder if it is worth it for Johnny. Especially given that it will likely be another two years before he gets a ruling.

The thing we have to remember is that for his career, this set back can be overcome - it really can. There are countless articles circulating (one on the BBC about the release of Wonder Women) which really leaves open the question of huge cinematic releases in the post COVID, streaming age. It makes the point that Leonardo DiCaprio is doing a Netflix movie - and that the studio are haemorrhaging money over delayed releases.

So the world of films is changing - and Johnny has a huge, huge loyal following - which has been added to in the past 10 months with a lot of DV survivors.

This is now about presentation of the facts. I know I banged on about this immediately after the judge released his decision - but that decision is wholly dependent upon AH's testimony in court. The majority of people who have an opinion seem not to believe her for very good reason.

If JD's team relentlessly focus on this in the VA court that will be a game changer. I believe his side are keeping very low key because so much hinges on getting the information about the donations out - in he court and in public.

And I am wondering that if evidence categorically shows she lied, whether never mind the Court of Appeal, Johnny can make a criminal complaint in the UK about her perjury. Even if it goes nowhere - it would be hugely impactful in terms of headlines (not in the Murdoch press admittedly) and damaging to AH's reputation.

Yes, cooking all day and feasting all night. and Football of course - here in US. Thanksgiving.

MSM will always push the narrative against Johnny, sadly. The UK has really turned against him. Hopefully that will be forgotten soon.

Here is the USA, thankfully, we've been distracted with elections, virus, and now with this appeal -Thanksgiving and football. Deadline and Variety have reported including the judges "claims of abuse substantially true he did beat her 12 out of 14 times" but Hollywood Reporter only mentioned they had different accounts of their marriage although he was denied permission and he go to court of appeals.

Here is the USA, people are sick of the story so they ignore it mostly. I haven't seen any TV shows (celeb news) reporting on it. Only what Sharon Osborne said, and that only got traction in the UK tabloids (that he likely was aggressive and she aggressive back because they both drank and whatever drugs).

Johnny has always been a polarizing actor/person - you either find him charming, shy, deprecating or an outrageous bad boy/man child who doesn't care about the rules. There seems to be a line drawn for sides - always. So I wonder if anything really changes for him - has he really lost more audience than he has gained

Sadly, he hasn't had movies out in theaters when they were open in last two years other than FB2 - all else streams and not very well advertised here.

Puffins has been released on UK Amazon Prime. So check that out. Johnny is credited, but I'm hearing the preview doesn't sound like him????

Regarding the Appeal - my opinion.

Johnny stated unequivocally that he is seeking an appeal, so I expect he will file with the Court of Appeals, if he has not done so already.

There are conflicting reports as to when Nicol denied permission (last week?) as to when Greef noted his Appeal was "lodged" on Monday 11/23. Also, it's extremely odd to me that The Sun did not report nor any statements from NGN or Shillings. Me Thinks something twisted was intentionally leaked to The Times merely about the initial first phase permission from a costs hearing, possibly. As Greef has said and I read, it is standard first level to request permission from the original court/judge. The judge did not grant permission, but also did not deny that he could move forward, which is good. You get three tries, by going with the initial judge, the Court of Appeals will be his last stop. He will not be allowed to go to the UK Supreme Courts - which was never gonna happen with this kind of case anyway. Greef suggested Johnny should have leap-frogged over the judge as now he will have to add the judge's denial reasoning to his appeal. But at the same time, it shows Shillings followed proper course and possibly the Judge's further denial adds fuel to their claims. Who knows?

Anyway IMHO, the best part of Johnny seeking, and being granted appeal, is for the next two years the decision will be reported as "under appeal" which is very strong public statement, at least versus reporting the judges ruling as it stands.

Oh yes indeed, Puffins is out tomorrow!!! About Johnny and his appeal, do you think that this can cause The Sun and all those other trash UK magazines to back off if/when his appeal is granted?

Also, if Johnny decides to appeal to the Higher Court, does this mean he doesn't have to pay the opposite side legal fees until it is resolved?

Johnny isn't one to give up. I believe he will go to the higher court to appeal. I am thinking it could go either way. One one hand, I think they may side with Nicol maybe because of connections one way or another with him, or The Sun or whatever. On the otherhand, Nicol really made the UK court look like idiots so they might just allow the appeal to show they are fair or maybe they could be tired with his poor decisions in the past.

All I know is that Amber Heard cost him the role of Captain Jack Sparrow and now Grindelwald and it's full out war on her. Fans are posting they will boycott Aquaman2, so Warner Bros. better do something if don't expect poor ticket sales and scaving reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and other sites.
