:loveshower: Today's the day, Zoners! :loveshower:

:balloons: Happy Birthday to Johnny Depp! :balloons:

And some great news--the 2010 Birthday Project has officially passed $5,000!

Let's see how much more we can to do benefit Save the Children's work in Haiti while we have the chance.

Have a little :cake: to celebrate, with :thanks!: and best wishes to everyone who has supported the Birthday Project. Well done!

There's still time to give...we've extended the Birthday Project a couple of days so anyone waiting for payday can give. So if you're a little short of ready cash, waiting for Friday's paycheck, you still have time!

:applause2: Thanks to everyone who has given so far, and thanks in advance to whoever donates over the next two days!

Good point, Theresa . . .

. . . normally we close down the Birthday Project on the day after Johnny's birthday, but this year we are keeping it open through Friday evening in deference to those Zoners who wanted to wait for one more paycheck to arrive.

So if you want to celebrate a little more, you can!

Many thanks to everyone who has donated to the Birthday Project this year. We have passed $5,000, and that's outstanding given the tough economy.

Thanks to all of you for helping Save the Children to give better lives to the children of Haiti. :worldhug: It's a wonderful way to honor Johnny Depp.

What an amazing accomplishment in such hard times. I'm so happy to be part of the Zone and the Birthday Project.

We do our best to accommodate the needs of our members. Our earliest projects closed promptly at midnight Pacific time on June 9th--and we were invariably contacted by good-hearted people who wished to give but had missed Johnny's birthday, usually due to a computer snafu (they were waiting for the big day and then could not get online) or a personal crisis that kept them busy elsewhere.

We learned from that to keep the Birthday Project running through June 10th for those who had emergencies.

We are extending for one further day this year by special request of members who don't get paid until Friday but wished to give a little more. I'm sure the magnitude of the disaster in Haiti has something to do with that response from Zoners. The need in Haiti is so great . . . and Zoners' hearts are so big, like Johnny's.

I thank them for their compassion and their determination to do all they can to help. Every gift is a blessing to a hungry child.

Many thanks to everyone who donated today! And there's still one more day left to give . . . .
