Why doesn't the Johnny Depp Zone accept members younger than age 13?
The Johnny Depp Zone recognizes the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, Title 13 of the United States Code, Section 13 (known as COPPA), and the regulations so provided for by the United States Federal Trade Commission.
The Johnny Depp Zone does not specifically target any of its content to children under the age of 13 years, nor does it knowingly solicit, collect, gather, receive, accept, or store personal information from children under the age of 13 years.
Since we require valid email addresses to register and remain a member of the Zone, we restrict membership to those of legal age to participate.
The Johnny Depp-Zone is intended for an adult audience and requires that all participants at this site be age 13 years or older. By submitting any content or information to this site, including but not limited to registration to use the message boards and access the members-only areas, the applicant for registration is acknowledging the age requirement and is confirming to the Zone that she or he is age 13 years or older. Anyone found to be in violation of this age requirement, or whose conduct on the forums leads the administration to suspect that she or he lied on the membership application, will be banned from participation on the site.
