More good news for this year's Birthday Project!

Unread post by part-time poet » Fri May 22, 2009 11:30 am

I have happy news to report--the 2009 Birthday Project has now passed $3,000 in donations for the San Jorge Children's Foundation! :yahoo:

That's really remarkable, given the extremely tough economic conditions this year. I'm always amazed by the generosity of the members of the Zone. :grouphug:

Thanks so much :bouquet: to everyone who has donated to this year's Birthday Project. Together we can make a difference in the lives of children--there's no better way to say "Happy Birthday" to Johnny! :twohearts:

It is good news, isn't it? And we never get enough of that. ;-)

It's great that we can get together and do something to make the world a better place, and say :balloons: to Johnny at the same time.

Sorry for my bad English.

I'd just thank the people out there who have been with my up-and-down, weird-road, strange career and supported me and stuck with me all these years. I mean, they're my boss. That's what keeps me working ... Johnny Depp

Thank you for the total update PtP, the numbers are impressive to read but it's what's behind them that touches my heart more. :heart2: Well done to all our generous zoners and a bigger well done to Johnny for inspiring such generosity and caring.

I think I can make one more donation, have done it in small chunks. And remember any small amount makes a HUGE difference. A few dollars and you soon have a great amount. I don't think we should worry about trying to beat last years amount...after all times are hard...and think how much good any amount will do these kids!! What a joy to give back to the man who has brought me so many hours of happiness...

I don't think Johnny usually knows about the projects unless the hospital tells his agent or something...but to give quietly with no expectations of thanks is a great way to honor him...and its the kiddies that are important!!

I'll donate next week. As I'm jobless I have to wait till I'll get my monthly financial aid from my state.
