Another Birthday Project Update (May 11)
Happy news . . . contributions to the 2009 Birthday Project continue to roll in, and we have now reached more than $2,000 in donations!
Many thanks to all our donors. You are doing something wonderful for the children of Puerto Rico, and for Johnny.
Thanks also to the Zoners who have sent checks directly to the San Jorge Children's Foundation--if you take that route, please email or PM Theresa so she can add your gift to our totals.
and keep up the good work!

Well done everyone. That's a fantastic amount considering the short time the project has been running

Agreed, JW . . . and also the fact that, like the original pirate brethren, we are all skint-broke.Jack's Wench wrote:Well done everyone. That's a fantastic amount considering the short time the project has been running
Fortunately, Zoners have big hearts--just like Johnny. The list of donations is already five pages long!

Wow! Wonderful news, indeed.
I've had to spend quite a bit of time at hospitals over the past few months, and it amazes me how some children seem so stoic and others are very sensitive and fearful. I hope the money raised for Johnny's birthday gift can help make kids feel more safe and comfortable as they receive the care and medicine they need to be well. What a blessing this will be for families who need help for their babies and youngsters.
Johnny is so generous with his time and energy. This is a nice way to honor him.
Thanks for keeping us posted on progress!

Wow, this is great news. We've still so much time and we've already raised so much. VERY cool!
