Re: PR newspaper El Vocero reports on the Birthday Project
Although this is a lovely article about our Birthday Project, I did want to correct one glaring inaccuracy. I am not, nor have I ever been in charge of the Birthday Project. My job has always been to assist Part-Time Poet in the day-to-day running of the Zone.
I had no idea that my inquiries for information to the San Jorge Foundation would end up being an article in El Vocera, and I'm sorry that I apparently gave them the impression that I was in charge of the Zone, or of the Birthday Project.
So your kind comments to me are definitely appreciated, but slightly misplaced. Part-Time Poet is the driving force of the Zone and the Birthday Project.
To all the Zoners and guests who donate to the project: you help to make each year's effort a rousing success. I thank you all.

Re: PR newspaper El Vocero reports on the Birthday Project
Thank you so much to Part-time poet - Theresa - Joni - AnaMaria and all the other moderators who do so much for us all here on the Zone.
The Zoners have really become part of my daily life and to think that the quotes from kittycat88 like "sprinkle of fairy dust " and Shadowydog's "Depp dust" are just spot on there. I can just imagine it
The article was really nice and it is also great that you have been acknowledged for the work that you have done on his behalf and I am so happy that this Project was even thought of in the first instance because it is a great way to celebrate someones life who gives so much to others - he is "Mr Wonderful" plus the kids benefit from this and we all know how much he dotes on kids - so that is absolutely wonderful news - you are all wonderful

Oh, we know that, Theresa! In fact if I remember correctly, PtP's name was mentioned in the press in connection to the Birthday Project last year, perhaps more precisely.
Whichever name is mentioned doesn't interfere with the fact that the Birthday Project is a wonderful, noble idea, nor does it change the fact that it is a labour of love and not a quest for laurels. I'm sure PtP is proud of it regardless, as she and the Zone should be. I'm also sure that running any and every aspect of the Zone can't be done individually and has to be a collaborative effort.
So I'll congratulate PtP, the entire Zone staff and every member who participated in the B-day Project once again, job well done.
P.S. Theresa, all said - you're still famous.

To every member of the Zone. I continue to be very proud of belonging to this wonderful community of people who through our shared admiration for Johnny Depp make efforts to do good in the world. This has made my Mother's Day complete, and Happy Mother's Day to all of you.

Ooh, I like being part of that fairy dust! What a wonderful article! Thank you, Theresa, PtP and all of you who make the Birthday Project happen every year. It touches my heart to hear the enthusiasm of the Foundation and to know so many will be helped by this gift, and knowing the joy it will bring Johnny fills my heart After all, it is his birthday present!Kittycat88 wrote:How nice !!! I feel like we (the zone) are a bit of special magic fairy dust that surely Johnny leaves behind where ever he goes. Sounds silly, but I am very proud of the zone and Johnny!!
