That is fabulous timing! It's not a long read, although it is a read that you can take your time with. I took a number of weeks and I am glad I did. Kind of filtered into my head that way.SnoopyDances wrote:

Am late to “this party” but want to read ahead of seeing the movie - no spoilers please just some indication of how intense or violent Barbarians is - thanks.
Looks like Amazon can get me gently used copy over the weekend - how many times can I watch the trailer before the doorbell rings Feels good to be back.

Unfortunately we read the book last summer/fall, but you are more than welcome to read through the tidbits (articles) and the questions we asked.
With regard to intensity/violence, we don't know how closely the movie follows the book. It is an intense read, unforgettable. And I would highly recommend it.
Can't wait to see the film.
