2008 Birthday Project Update #3--$3,200 and counting . . . .

Unread post by part-time poet » Fri May 23, 2008 1:40 pm

:yahoo: Great news! We have currently raised more than $3,200 in donations for the 2008 Birthday Project! :yahoo:

Many thanks :bouquet: to the generous members of the Zone--as well as visitors to our home page and forums who wanted to wish Johnny Depp a :happybday: and donated to our project to benefit the Child Life fund of American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

It's wonderful to know that so many of you have wanted to reach out and support Wisconsin children, as a way of giving back some of the kindness and warmth :flashingheart: that Wisconsin has shown to JD and all of the visitors who went to see PUBLIC ENEMIES filming this spring.

And of course we want to wish Johnny a very happy birthday! :birthdayballoon:

Many thanks :hatsoff: to those who have given . . . you're the best! And if you haven't yet joined in the project, there's still time . . . .

Thank you for the update PtP, such a warm feeling knowing that so many people wish to help these children and their families when they need it most. Johnny would be humbled.

That's a lovely way to look at it, LadyAbberline. And there are so many magical things about Johnny, we could go on and on--right?

It's wonderful to see the Birthday Project doing so well.

It's Lily-Rose's birthday today :balloons: . . . that means Johnny's is just around the corner. A good time to be thankful for all the healthy, happy children in our lives.

Good reminder. It was Johnny's love of children and his own close call, that I think inspired us last year.

What a great way to celebrate and give thanks that LR is here for her latest happy healthy birthday !!

With a small donation to the fund!!

Our last month...if the project will stay open until end of June?? Hoping to squeeze a few more pay days into the bucket. We can really make a difference in a child's life. And for Johhny....wow...
