ptp, maybe you should try to find out how many times we have now looked over the first page of this thread.. tens of thousands yet? I'm sure it's not only me who keeps going back to look again.
Work hard, learn well, and make peace with the fact that you'll never be as cool as Johnny Depp. GQ.

Very keen observation there - I, too, keep reading it over and over - staring at his signature and marvelling at what a talented letter writer he is! :cloud9:

Yes, I'm another who can't stop reading this wonderful letter. I am so genuinely moved by it, and by Johnny's kindness in writing to acknowledge our donation.

I keep wondering if he has any idea of his ability to move so many of us to tears? And how true it is that giving is it's own reward, but it is certainly sweeter knowing Johnny was touched by our efforts.

Thanks to Natalie and all who organised the project. You gave us all the chance to feel this very poignant sense of making a difference, not just in general, but in a very specific way to a very specific gentleman.

;-) Endora, I have read it at least 15 times since first reading it 30 minutes ago! :-O

Thanks PtP for all your hard work and for posting this unexpected, but lovely letter from Johnny!

What a gracious man he is. How wonderful to receive this letter from him. :cloud9:

That is wonderful. Thank you to Natalie for letting us all contribute to such a fine and humanitarian project. Thank you to all the zoners who supported such a charitable mission. And thanks to Johnny who, despite a very hectic schedule, took the time to write a personal (and humble) note of gratitude and for his inspiring us as he does on a daily basis. I am proud to be a fan of his and of the Zone.

It was an honor to be part of this fundraiser. I look forward to the next one.

I agree with everything said here so far. I also can't stop reading the letter either. How sweet of him to actually take the time to stop and thank us. His letter is so heartfelt. I love that because of Johnny we are all more aware of the need out there, and I'm honored to belong to a family (the Zone) that is doing our small part to make a difference in the world.

Thanks Johnny for taking the time to send out that letter. It means a lot!

Ya know I don't talk that much on this site, but I do have to say that you girls have made me cry (and I don't usually cry) this time with this letter from JD and all your thank yous and such. I didn't get to donate this year to this wonderful cause, but I have donated in the past to a previous birthday project. And I know that this is incredible for him to send a thank you to the ZONE. I have never had such a deep respect for this man as I do now. And a great respect to all the zoners here. You are all great people. Thank you for all you do........
Always.........
