I didn't really discover Johnny until July of last year (upon seeing DMC), so I missed his birthday celebration in 2006. I am delighted to donate to GOSH now because my life has been made richer this past year since discovering Johnny's talent, kindness, and generosity.
What a wonderful person he is, and he's inspired me to be a better person.

I would think that Johnny would be honored by any donation how ever small and to what ever childrens hospital. I think what we are doing here is honoring Johnny by helping children, and I don't think it matters which children or where. I think Johnny would be very happy to know that ANY child was being helped.HeidiGrant40 wrote:This is such a worthy charity, but we can't afford the $44. and we try to donate locally. Is it OK to make a smaller donation to our childrens hospital in Johnny's name?
And the amount of $44 was only a suggestion, because that is the number of years Johnny has lived. The amount must be up to each individual, I think.
I think it is such a good idea to make this collective donation from the members of the Zone in honor of Johnny, and I am very happy to be a part of it.
But I think I am right in saying that other donations would be appreciated too, am I not?

Just made my donation, and hopefully I will be able to donate once more in a couple of weeks. Thank you PtP for setting this up.

PTP, thanks so much for this opportunity. I've been looking forward to this since joining the Zone, having missed last year's birthday celebration.
And it's so rewarding that everyone's pieces, no matter what size, add up to a very special gift for a very deserving organization!
My piece is added!
