Birthday Project Update--we have now passed $2,000! Great work!

Unread post by part-time poet » Wed May 16, 2012 12:06 am

Here's a quick update on our 2012 Birthday Project fundraising . . .

the Zone has now received more than $2,000 in donations for Project Pueblo!

That's wonderful! :loveshower: Thank you so much to all our donors. :bouquet:

We have now collected enough money to provide a water system for a Navajo family (cost approximately $1,500), and we are well on our way to a providing a second one! I will be sending a check for $2,000 to Project Pueblo at the end of this week, so they can put it to use buying supplies for their upcoming trip.

:worldhug: and :highfive: to everyone who has contributed to this project. You are a great inspiration, showing what we can do when we work together.

Thank you so much for the update PtP, very impressive total and we still have so many days left to donate even more. It's always amazing how much money is donated every year to the birthday project, it just shows how generous and loving the zoners are and we're blessed to be given the opportunity to make a difference for something that's so important.

Many thanks to you and Theresa for all the hard work and investigating you do to find such worthy causes.

That's a great idea to send money as we go along, as opposed to sending one large cheque at the end.

It feels good to know we are helping change lives!
