I can understand why people would be discouraged or confused. Please, keep in mind that anyone can start a You Tube channel. They don't necessarily have legal expertise. I have found that many You Tubers are just giving opinions. I hope that people keep this in mind when they watch You Tube videos.fireflydances wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 9:25 pmSo I made a lame attempt to describe my own failed and confused experience of watching Josh Drew's deposition. After Josh and looking for some real recap and some hope, I watched too many different online experts and found nothing but a bunch of shell shocked folks. Which really seems off to me -- one day can't be that horrific.
In any case, I finally found one lone video that recapped the day and offered some light. If you found the day depressing, maybe this will help.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
This is the live stream channel I have been watching. He is a lawyer and has other lawyers on as well. This one is from yesterday.
They all agree that the ex-and Whitney have different versions of what happened on the stairs. When was it ever said that JD hit Whitney and that she said to him "DONT' YOU HIT MY SISTER"??? According to Whitney that is what happened and how could he possibly have the ex-by the hair with one hand and be hitting her with the other if he had a cast on?

Thanks Judymac, your answer helped me a lot. The days of forums must have been ten years ago for me, but you reminded me with your simple and helpful answer how wonderful those days were.Judymac wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 5:49 pmAfter AH's (defendant) case concludes, the plaintiff (Johnny) will have a chance for a brief rebuttal. Then, both sides will give their closing arguments. During the closing arguments each side summarizes their case. The jurors will be given instructions and will go to a room to deliberate. The jurors are allowed to take notes during the trial and they also have all of the exhibits to examine and discuss.
Thank you very much

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Her lawyer is probably loving that she can cherry pick what she shows in the witness deps today. If these people showed up live to testify for her his team would be ripping them apart with objections.
So far, the lawyers on the live stream I am watching are not impressed.

WOW!!! Her lawyer is getting hammered with the objections asking the same set of questions after the first one gets objected.
The lawyers I am listening to are having a field day on her.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I did not watch many videodepositions today, its tiring. Her ex-friends yesterday had interesting things to tell in the way how the screwed up the script.
I think it was interesting to see that Rocky and Melanie teared up during their deposition and iO at one time asked to take a picture of AHs "injured" face down. My take is that they are all reminded how AH used them for her agenda and they all got sidelined.
Adams deposition was pure gold and very smart, I read on twitter. During direct he should name people who testified for JD for the phone incident and he named not only people whose testimony the jury has heard, but more witnesses. He gave a wider scope! And, he let it slip that the LAPD investigated her for perjury.
I have no idea how AH will prove her 100mil counterclaim, literally, no idea. Her social media expert tried to connect four negative hashtags about AH with Adams statements, because 25% of them somehow referenced the term "Waldmignon". What a stretch. Good thing the justiceforjohnny hashtag overshadowed everything. Respect for the smart deppheads who came up with it.

You're welcome Yaya! I am sure I was one of many very affected by those depositions. Glad to help. I know I feel better, both because of the videos but also just knowing we will all continue to stand for Johnny!

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
A long day today, so many witnesses.
What on earth was the point of Ellen Barkin, it was 25 odd years ago, she just seems bitter.
I couldn’t remember whether I’d read about Johnny’s parting with Tracy Jacobs, so I’m not knowledgeable here. However I was moved and saddened by her testimony re Johnny’s issues around alcohol and drugs and how this had ultimately affected his career.I found her credible in this regard.
Despite being unable to answer many questions, Waldman’s testimony was very interesting.
The psychiatrist at the end was very tedious and seemed half asleep.
The Disney lady didn’t seem to have the authority to give any pertinent information.
I know they were basically trying to establish that Johnny is a mean drunk with a terrible temper, but none of it went to prove he assaulted Amber. Many people when riled, will kick and punch inanimate objects, which whilst seeming extreme and destructive, is not the same as abusing a human being,
That’s all I’ve got, I’m going on holiday tomorrow so will have much to catch up on when I return!

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
What a week in court . I have a few questions that I was not aware of. 1. Why are Bruce and Johnny no longer friends🥲. Why was Adam Waldon no longer Johnnys main lawyer? 3. Why are u tube or other sites being shutdown due to destructive Depp fans . Why is Adam Waldon being punished !!! I have a clue , but would like to verify .Does AH still have more witnesses or depos!!! With closing next Friday, I don’t see how Johnnys team can get any rebuttals in . I watch the live trial with Emily D, she’s awesome and I think a very smart , compassionate lawyer and I’ve learned a lot from her. Thanks for the help and I hope and pray Johnny gets the help with his “monster” that he needsAll my love and support Johnny

From what I have gathered from Bruce was that JD said he had stabbed him in the back but no idea what JD had been told.bringmethathorizon wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 7:57 pmWhat a week in court . Waldman was dismissed from this case for postings on twitter and her team filed to have him removed from the case.
My guess is that her PR is reporting people who are posting certain things on SM.
JD's team has a lot more time than her's does. From what I heard today, her team has 8 hrs left but his has 18 hrs.
I am still watching the video from the trial today but general consensus from the lawyers on the stream I am watching is that today was not a good day for the defense.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I don't know about anyone else but I'm so glad it's a motion day today because frankly, watching all these videos and remote testimonies were making my brain melt. I have no idea how the jury can stay awake through all of that. At least we can shut it off for a while and go back to it later.
So far she has had only three witnesses come to the LA court, including two experts.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
The purpose of rebuttal is not to retry the case, it is to contradict the witnesses who might have damaged Johnny's case. They are not going to bring in a lot of witnesses and go off in a lot of different directions. Rebuttal is supposed to be short and focused. They have plenty of time for rebuttal.
Yesterday's testimony was very boring, I felt sorry for the jurors.
I thought Bruce Witkin's testimony was rather sad. He and Johnny had been friends for many decades. Bruce said he did not know why their friendship had ended, but he thought it was because of his deposition in the UK trial. He gave testimony about Johnny's drug use. Johnny felt that his long time friend stabbed him in the back.
Amber's side called Adam Waldman and they got nothing out him. Elaine looked foolish. She kept asking the same questions. She should have known after the first few questions that he was not going to answer the questions. When a lawyer goes up against another lawyer it is a battle of egos and brains. Adam clearly won. Don't know if anyone noticed that Adam was asked about having contact with people on social media. He mentioned The Real Laura B.
The witness who discussed the negative tweets did not help AH and IMO, might have hurt her. Every time he mentioned the words, hoax and fraud, he brought those two concepts into the jurors' minds.
The Disney exec, had nothing. She did not even crack a smile over the question about the money and alpaca's. She did take a sip of water, so maybe she was trying not to laugh. I am sure she was told to be serious, but she came across boring. The jurors might have thought that she was wasting the court's time.
