New docs up in Fairfax.

Easy on: AH added a new lawyer. This lawyer is in the same firm as her current Lawyers Rottenborn & Treece.

She submitted a Motion to Compel on allot of Requests for Production and An admission. The admission seems to be accept or deny on Amber's photos that his IT guy is testing the metadata on. So that seems in the works. Johnny has to turn it over within 21 days when he receives it from the Concilliator (who was gonig to review it all for privilege before turning it over the the IT guy)

The rest are RFP's she requested before and was denied. I assum in oral arguments the Judge made suggestions how she could change and resubmit. We never saw Depp's formal opposition uploaded, just some emails in her exhibits.

Lots screen shots in this thread trying to match up the order (which is just Nos.) to her actual requests

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Update. Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard.<br><br>NEW TRIAL DATES<br><br>💥Trial starts April 11-May 6, <br>💥May 9-13 Judge has a judicial conference so no trial this week<br>💥Resume May 16 - May 27. <a href="https://t.co/uiCzRj94mK">pic.twitter.co ... </p>&mdash; TheRealLauraB🌊⚔️ (@LauraBockov) <a href=" 21, 2022</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Well, I suppose my paranoia and utter distrust for any and every Justice system is in play here, but the hairs on the back of my neck stood up when I read there is a week long “judicial conference” scheduled right smack dab in the middle of the Fairfax, VA trial! Wonder if the discussion itinerary will be available for public consumption…

Will the jurors be sequestered during this time or just left to compare “notes”? Will a little “review” be deemed in order upon return to duty - you know, maybe another week or so - to refresh the initial four weeks’ efforts to make sense of all they’d had to untangle up to then?

Every thought that flits through my head right now begets another dozen potential issues. 😑

Yes, it is disappointing to have a week off. I don't think this type of civil trial warrants having the jury sequestered. Honestly, so much from the UK trial is out there. But yea, I am sure their families will be discussing it, at the very least

I hate the idea the jury will hear Johnny’s side. Maybe some of hers. Take a week off and have to remember not just the facts but the emotions they felt. Week off and then start “fresh” with her side and closing arguments

There is always a chance this JD's side will ask for the trial to be delayed due to the break in the schedule but if anything, it would get delayed due to the discovery issues, imo and this is not uncommon. We all see how she likes to file motions for more documents and in January the judge gave them time to respond to discovery demands. If either side doesn't submit everything, more motions can get filed and they can ask for the trial to be delayed.

Whilst I agree that this seems problematic, it may possibly work in JD's favour. For us, we are already familiar with all the evidence, the lies told to denigrate evidence, the constant changes of stories, evasions, meddling and muddying timelines and the likes. For a novice coming in - having only heard vague things in the press, it is a great deal to assimilate in just a few weeks. Most people I know that don't follow the issue tend to think "he was found guilty in the UK wasn't he?" or say something like "I've heard she's a narcissist" (and similar vague things) and whilst they may have formed some opinion, its formed mostly from their own echo chamber and consequently biased and lacking any detail.

If JD is able to present his case in all its intricate detail, preemptively debunking all of her previous claims, false testimony and fabricated "evidence" then this will give them a week to let it settle. When it comes back to jurors' minds they will pull it back to weigh what has been presented so far. In doing so they will (imo) converge on all her deceptions and faked evidence, the collusion between her co-conspirators and anything she says afterward will be filtered through a very strict and wary mesh.

It's probably wishful thinking, but it keeps me positive :)

So much to post!

Johnny (in California) opposing WB trying to quash his subpoena and depo. (Same judge approved her Disney request against Johnny)

In a nutshell

On or about February 16, 2022, Mr. Depp’s lead Virginia counsel received an unsolicited
telephone call from WBEI’s chief counsel, Wayne Smith, urging Mr. Depp to abandon any
deposition of WBEI, and warning that WBEI’s representatives would say “bad things” about both
Mr. Depp and Ms. Heard if a deposition took place. When Mr. Depp’s counsel did not accept,
WBEI’s representatives warned that WBEI would move to quash

Depp Further agreed to postpone WB Depo but "after Ms. Heard was deposed, to avoid burdening third-party WBEI with a deposition that might prove to be unnecessaiy. However, it very quickly became apparent that a deposition of WBEI is necessary.

Are they implying that his pay or play contract (so he was always getting paid) was his "gift"? What on earth could WB have gifted him considering how they've treated him.

Don't forget that WB commissioned hit pieces in The Hollywood Reporter and other trades to try to tarnish Ray Fisher's reputation when he called out the abuse and misconduct that happened at WB with Geoff Johns (protected by some of the execs at WB), Joss Whedon, Toby Emmerich and co.

They called him a liar (which he isn't), and then more people on other series and films told their stories as well of toxicity at the highest levels of WB.

Gave him a gift??? He starred in a billion dollar film and they made a fortune off him. I don't care if I ever see another Warner Bros film ever again that Johnny Depp isn't in.

I can only read it that Amber's stipulation (never mentioning AQ2) was somehow a gift. That WB, I would think, wrote it for her. I don't see how it's a gift

Maybe what they put in the declaration for him was "a gift" but that is not what they sighted in the document. And Johnny can't use it in VA, it is considered hearsay and wouldn't be enough force for her counterclaim.

She said something in her deposition which warranted Johnny's team to go after the deposition.
Copied from court document:

16..." Because Ms. Heard is still attached to the Aquaman projects, Mr. Depp
17 agreed in December 2021 to accept, initially, a minimal production of documents from WBEI (its
18 contract with Ms. Heard), and further agreed to postpone a deposition of WBEI's person most
19 qualified ("PMQ") until after Ms. Heard was deposed, to avoid burdening third-paiiy WBEI with
20 a deposition that might prove to be unnecessary. Id.
21 However, it very quickly became apparent that a deposition of WBEI is necessary. -
(LARGE AREA REDACTED)
Shortly thereafter, Ms. Heard was deposed in this action in Januaiy 2022. Following her
11 testimony, counsel detennined that a deposition of WBEI was needed. Id. at~ 7.

Yup, I loved Fantastic Beasts but I won't be watching any more films in the franchise.
