George was AH's former atty, before Kaplan took over.

I agree - given that the ACLU have been forced to produce - this isn't a disaster. I would just love to have seen him have to answer Ben Chew's question "what due diligence did you do on Ms Heard and her claims".

I have had to take cover twice now for Tornado warnings.

I love what the Judge said
The judge said Johnny didn't have a fair trial in the UK because AH did not have to participate in discovery

This is really wonderful news. I haven't been much of a commenter here but I followed this thread closely. Could it be that things may just almost be about to turn around for JD? I surely hope so.

Thanks to all for the wonderful, wonderful work on this thread!

This third attempt was a Hail Mary on their part, imo, and the judge was not impressed by their arguments. That being said, who knows what the future will hold but for now we can celebrate because I think we all know this means the filing of more papers from her or more subpoenas.

At some point can't the judge just say "enough already!"?

I was a bit disappointed that sanctions were not applied, but as the judge said, she provided some legal precedents, but they were "thin".

I suspect EB is probing the judge's tolerance, like border incursions in a war - testing boundaries to find vulnerabilities.

Overall I see the ruling as a firm slapdown to AH and EB.

Oh my! Just reading those words over and over - how gratifying! Thank you, Laura, for posting and interpreting. No knots in my stomach tonight. Daring to trust justice may be in Johnny's future after all!

Thank you, Laura! I'm still suspicious of any judge after London, but this bodes well for Virginia. Glad the tornadoes missed you - stay safe!

Thank you Lbock, SnoopyDances (and Brooke is she ever reads this forum) for the news - it has been a great week. AH's third attempt to get it dismissed rejected; outpourings of love for JD; more and more great reviews for Minamata; the non-US film industry planting its flag on JD's tower ...... and wonderful Dior - which I think has struck absolutely the right note in their campaign (don't worry moderators, I'll share my thoughts on that on the correct thread). So glad you are safe Lbock.
