Very good point here in the second from the top tweet, I think! The judge believed AH because she was under oath. But so were the rest of them, savvy?

Well said, RumLover. Now or never!

There have been calls for Johnny to accept Mr. Justice Nicol’s decision, to walk away, wait for things to calm down, and then go on with his life playing music, making films, etc. He will rise. Sounds idyllic. But my answer to that is, “What life?” “What films?” “What albums?” “What concerts?” “What peace of mind?” Who is going to fund/produce all these movies we’re going to see, all these albums we’re going to buy, all these concerts we’re going to attend? He is a legendary actor, beloved musician and consummate performer whose bio is already being scrubbed and rewritten to include the unthinkable. This is not 2016. The ugly allegation has morphed into a legal firebrand that will be associated with Johnny into perpetuity, all with Mr. Justice Nicol’s blessing.

There is, of course, no guarantee Johnny will prevail if he is granted an appeal. He needs the finest appeals attorneys he can find - attorneys who can prioritize his case, who can see those “finer points of law to support the appeal”. It has been suggested that if he is granted an appeal, perhaps he should go straight for a Supreme Court decision, bypassing the three-tier process.. Very costly but quicker.

If no appeal, though, then all for now is over and done.

Just a few more thoughts mainly around FB3, over which I may not recover if JD is sacked.

WB and JK Rowling said very clearly in 2018 that they believed him on the evidence that they had seen. And there was a lot less of it then than there is now.

If they are going to part ways, they will surely have to buy him out of his 5 film contract. He hasn't committed any crime - this is a civil judgement with a low standard of proof. I also wonder if WB were wholly behind his action against the Sun - it was a powerful thing in 2018 for him to be able to say he was suing the Sun because they had lied about him.

I doubt WB want to say anything ATM. They shouldn't say they don't agree with a High Court judge, that just invites controversy and they don't need to - as long as there are legal processes on-going they can kick the can down the road. As I've said previously another big piece of evidence proving that she has lied will go a long way against all of this.

The judgement is entirely based on her word. What JD's side have to do is relentlessly attack her truthfulness with facts.

It always frustrated me greatly that if WB believed him and his evidence, that surely meant they disbelieved her. So why did she keep her job? No point going over it again.

Anyone who knows/understands these things - is there any evidence of a surge or increased support for her? I know her instagram followers has been the same for ages whereas his jumped on the day of the judgement. Anyone understand any of these analytics? Occasionally on twitter I've seen charts showing lost followers - I just wonder how she is doing since Monday. I saw this morning that the counter petition supporting her for Aquaman 2 still hasn't reached a goal of 7,550 whereas the other one is over half a million now.

Grateful for anyone else's thoughts.

I don't know a lot about JK Rowling but she seems to be a woman with integrity and sticks to her guns. I think it's clear to anyone who reads the decision that the judge was looking for excuses to side with the ex. I believe he will still be making films, concerts, etc. He has a huge fan base that is very strong and he is still an A lister.

I don't take a whole lot of stock in these change.org petitions. Anyone can sit there all day and put in fake names if they wanted to and with the covid a lot of people are out of work and looking or things to do. Obviously JD's fans are the ones against the ex and her fans are the ones supporting her BUT there is a huge difference there. It clearly shows her fan base is not that big, imo.

Posters in that UK tabloid site show very little support for her. Other than the one person who changes names by the minute, the only praise she is getting is for her looks and that's it. Even people who are not JD's fans say something is off about the decision just based on what they are reporting. I really don't care about Disney anymore, they screwed him and nobody will go to the theater if he only has a small role anyway. If there do happen to be issues with acting he will produce which he has been doing with Stephen Deuters. Johnny will always be doing something because that's just the way he is.

A breakdown of the decision by a lawyer. This woman is very good at explaining things.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

"I don't know a lot about JK Rowling but she seems to be a woman with integrity and sticks to her guns."

She 100% is. Probably the biggest reason she stood by him is she herself is a survivor of domestic abuse, she spoke of her experience and needless to say, it nearly cost her her life. The perception of Johnny is far, far brighter now than it was in 2017/2018, that's just the reality of it. And we gotta keep, as Brooke says on Twitter, correcting anyone on Twitter who spreads lies or defends her in any way, lay down the facts any time we can, etc.

But you know, with everything that's happening between this, the election, I feel MOST people have a very low tolerance for bullshit and aholes getting away with all this crap. And look, Warner Bros is embroiled in this scandal with Ray Fisher (who plays Cyborg in Zack Snyder's JL), after Ray's accusations (reminder that he speaks for many other people and Jason Momoa and others have supported him) of serious abuse and racism coming from some people at WB during the JL reshoots.

To the point where Warner Media has launched a third party investigation. And there's also been issues with the Ellen show and co, so needless to say that hypothetically (as it will never EVER happen) letting Johnny go would be an additional stain and extremely bad for them optics wise.

Johnny is safe.

I was absolutely heartbroken when a friend just called to tell me.

But I am weirdly, strangely galvanised.

They must have bought him out of his contract - I think the franchise is severely damaged. Ezra, JK Rowling's views on trans rights ..... Johnny's fans were going to hold this up.

What will they do about Aquaman?

This will massively add to the public's sense of unfairness.

And he's fighting on.

Double that financial demand in Virginia. There is no doubt or question now about where her lies have led to.

I’m sure they’ve paid him for whatever time he has worked. I doubt they bought him out. I’m sure the morality clause applies. I’m amazed at his strength and onward and upward we will fight for this man! 💪🏼❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Lbock your tweet paid proper tribute to his dignity.

That's it then I guess - he 100 percent throws himself and his resources at getting justice.

She must be feeling triumphant. I truly hope justice is served because I cannot believe that her career will survive this.

He has a chance to clear his name now and still enjoy some meaty mature roles, with a rock solid fanbase.

Even if she gets some roles now are the people going to support her? With her reputation and talents and now well into her 30s in an industry which is cruel to those who are just a pretty face. And if there is evidence that she didn't pay her divorce money .......

Well Lbock you were right. without WB pressure, he can appeal and he may as well.

I didn’t want to be right, but the judgement including a sex abuse claim surely left WB no choice. I hated the storyline last movie and wasn’t looking forward to a hitler type war

Sad to think I don’t think we’ll see much of him for awhile. I’m sure he’ll be busy with his music and production company. He’ll be busy behind the scenes. Might be good for him to focus on that. Then, he’ll make a massive in your face comeback!

The tweet was hard. So thank you. Better we control the narrative. But it will be ugly
