Thanks for the comments AdeleAgain.
The Doughty Chambers Gang is starting to look more and more sus.
And I also owe everyone an apology. These people all seem infected with that particularly virulent form of misandrist feminism so common now in Australia. And yes, Kathy Lette, Geoff and Jen are all from Australia. Nichols is not.

I assume you mean suspect. Please use proper words rather than slang abbreviations, so our non-English Zoners are able to understand.Inquiring Minds wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 3:50 amThanks for the comments AdeleAgain.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
How can Amber not be a gold digger when both she and her parents admitted to Johnny in writing that she only accused him of abuse in order to stay in the condos?
And also only did it after he said "No" to her material demands?
But the judge will probably believe her claim "The lawyers made me do it" ... And not for one moment think that you don't demand anything from a person you're deathly afraid of, and who knows where you live.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Lbock your tweet about streaming Johnny's material has had over 800 likes and a ton of comments of people following suit - well done this is exactly the kind of practical difference we can make whilst the legal process unfolds.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I guess the judge didn't see that little extortion letter her divorce attorney sent to his attorney but it wouldn't have mattered anyway because he would have said it was done by her lawyer and not her. He let her get away with so much BS. It's really disappoionting to see a judge act this way.meeps wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 4:57 amHow can Amber not be a gold digger when both she and her parents admitted to Johnny in writing that she only accused him of abuse in order to stay in the condos?

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I think the judge did comment on the blackmail letter and didn’t think it was anything less than a settlement request.
Here is a short video from a popular daytime talk show here. Sharon Osborne’s take on the ruling. Sadly, I fear this opinion will represent potential jurors here

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I also think an appeal is highly risky for little or no return and could be worse
1) they have to file a brief and a judge who needs to feel it is likely he could win and give permission to appeal. God forbid he fails right out of the gate
2) It will take 12-18 months. Discounting COVID, do that would be well after VA. Does he need a second win after VA?
3) if he loses in VA, which I fear highly possible, winning any appeal is moot, honesty. VA is the more important case as she is the party. (Not to discount she is suing him now too)
4) if he wins in VA and loses the appeal, then he is still a wife beater
Considering all that, I believe there is little return on investment and added press fodder to appeal. Take the hit and concentrate on VA

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I think we need to be cautious on WB. If it’s true that AH was bought out, I don’t see how they can justify keeping him. With the MeToo, Weinstein, no tolerance policy in all studios, and he has filmed very little .... well say your prayers.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I can't see the video (I am in Europe, which might be the reason) so would you mind very much telling us in short if she was for or against Johnny?
I will be very grateful if you do

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Gist: It was a volatile relationship. Then add alcohol for both and maybe drugs, I don’t know. I went through it with Ozzy. He pushed me and I pushed back, I did. Johnny needs to get help. Ozzy did, we were able to work it out. They obviously couldn’t. But Johnny needs to get help. But she repeated that he hit and she hit back
One of the others said “if you were an actress would you want to work with him”. The lady said no.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I don't think Amber and Johnny's marriage was in the same league as the Osbornes.
And frankly, it's currently in vogue to see women as unimpeachable, and naturally that includes Heard who is currently making more of a career as a victim than an actress.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
How can they justify keeping him? Because he's the lead antagonist in the Fantastic Beasts series, because Johnny has a longstanding relationship with Warner Bros, because JK Rowling, David Yates AND David Heyman are standing by him. Mark my words, he is not going anywhere, and god is it tiring to see that.
I know that Qwerty insists that she was bought out of her contract by WB because she is uninsurable or something. I was told by someone else who is pretty reliable in the WB/DC scoops that she supposedly is still on for A2 and that WB doesn't want to buy her out. So who knows.
The proof is out there for Johnny, the public opinion has swayed in his favor big time, there is nothing to fear. And Grindelwald is not a shapeshifter, that's completely inaccurate.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Question:
VA - victory for Team Depp.
With what I have read from the "zone", Nicol believed Heard. If Team Depp proves she lied on several issues that Nicol believed Heard on, will that influence the judges in the UK during the appeal process? (Ex: donated the monies to charity).

Lbock - just hope that WB is watching the analytics. I am surprised/but not surprised how few likes anti-Johnny comments are getting.
