In my anxious state (last few nights, not sleeping) I keep thinking of random things and last night it was the door which AH said was broken - I believe she said it was the alleged fight on the island. JD's response is that it is not any door on the island but from one of the LA properties. Now that seems like a mad thing to come back on if it isn't true - JD could just have said 'yes it's a damaged door but I didn't damage it'. To say it isn't from the property she claims is quite specific and exactly the sort of detail which could be v important for credibility. Not least because presenting false evidence is surely a very serious matter.

All of which continues to just confuse me as to why this is even still going on. If I can see that it's possible the evidence is flaky - surely the Sun's lawyers can - they are not stupid people!

I wish we knew what was going: and why Adam Waldman 'liked' AH's picnic photo. I had another look - it seems like a lovely sunny day - and we didn't have any of those in London last week - it rained a lot. Maybe I am jumping to conclusions and it was from the week before which was nice weather - but her face looks more like she used to. What on earth is going on????

Oh dear Adele, it is not good if you have not slept well. Please relax a little, think about your health :rose: !!! Mr. Adam Waldman is an intelligent and smart lawyer and has everything under control. He will defend our angel well. Prayers can always help and light a candle.
Everthink will be fine :namaste:

I agree that NGN lawyers are smart enough to know that Amber is lying. My thinking is that smart people don't become lawyers for NGN because they want to argue what is right. I imagine they might have been debate team champions who enjoyed winning the argument even if they didn't believe what they were saying.

Th lawyer whose reasons trouble me is Jenifer Robinson. Robinson is a human rights lawyer whose cases I generally support. But Robinson was Heard's lawyer who argued that Heard could not give testimony in Sun v Depp unless Depp dropped the confidentiality agreement from the divorce. Robinson may still be Heard's lawyer. She tweeted this an hour ago.

Jenifer Robinson is still AH lawyer and will be sitting with her in court

NOTE TO ADMIN: I posted some really informational tweets. I see now the account has gone private, since I follower her I can still see them. She has made a note, that when she goes to bed at night she changes her account to private, but opens it back up in thr morning. So if you could wait to delete them as I think those tweets will be viewable tomorrow. But it's up to you. TY

More motions filed by AH. You can definitely see the new "attitude" with this new lawyer

Pushing hard for their Motion to Compel and really getting nasty.

Yes, this new one plays dirty but I think we have been down the path of texts with Paul Bentley, disclosure agreements, etc. re: romantic partners before. Kind of pathetic she is bringing up thing that in no way prove he was abusive to Amber. Also trying to get pay records from 2010 proves nothing. Just because a film doesn't do well in a box office doesn't mean it was because of him. He didn't produce, direct, write the scripts, etc. in all those films. As for the finger injury, they have his HIPPA form and can get those records at any time. Sounds like she is rehashing all kinds of stuff that has already been addressed. She makes one think she never listened to the recordings but I am sure she did and let's not forget Amber has STILL not filed an answer to the complaint.

I am at my wits end trying to figure out what in the world is going on. How does AH get the right to have a lawyer with her in this case much less the right to file motions related to the case??? Is Robinson sitting at the Defendant’s table, too?

These are the same motions filed for the VA trial, now pushed back to January, 2021. Where does Robinson think she is? Does she need to have her place spelled out for her as well as her client’s? Nothing is addressed to Mr. Sherborne or Shillings, nothing mentions the U.K. trial. She may not have liked the responses from Johnny to that garbage VA motion, or the results of her own client’s efforts to have Johnny’s life investigated for any abuse to anyone, back to the 90’s, to no avail - in fact just the opposite - but too bad!

If Robinson is scrambling to play catch-up because her lying :censored: of a client lost her Times-Up/MeToo lawyer at the last minute there is no way Johnny should have to suffer any longer while she does so. There was a response to this motion to compel and it’s probably back in VA where it belongs, and if Robinson is still A’s lawyer after this fiasco, then file it with her paperwork under the umbrella of the correct court case. But right now, do your job, let go of VA and get a handle on THIS case as well as your client’s place in it as a Third Party Witness (NOT the one being sued) who has been granted an indulgence by the Court to sit with the Defendants. Catch up to where everyone is NOW.

This is nonsense and a slap in the face to Mr. Justice Nicol’s Court. He needs to take back the reins of his Courtroom, remind everyone in that room who the Claimant is, what is the Claimant’s complaint, who ALL the slimy Defendants are and why some may not be present, explain why AH is at the Defendants’ table and her reason for being there, and do everything he can to ensure Justice triumphs. And if, after all is said and done for as long as it takes, the Claimant at long last carries the day and gets a fair crack at perhaps getting some semblance of his life, career, and reputation back, well all I’ll be able to utter through the tears is “Hallelujah!”.

If I were being sued in a USA case and the key witness in a foreign suit for basically the same claims, whatever I say or do in UK will definitely be used against me in USA. I’d make sure I was legally represented. Just saying...

These Motions in VA were filed by her new attorney replacing the Kaplan team: Elaine Bredehoft and her firm. The filing has nothing to do with UK and Jen Robinson

A couple of Johnny fans have obtained access to today's hearing, but I haven't seen any tweeting from them since Court began. I don't think observers other than press are allowed to take notes or tweet. Press are in another room. @nickwallis is doing a fantastic job trying to tweet everything. The Court advised anyone can get a copy of the trial transcript. Not sure if there's a cost. Will try to provide link later unless someone else posts it.

***Update from one of the Deppheads in the courtroom that people reading the press tweets should not copy, post or comment on them.

Johnny Depp's libel case against The Sun begins

bbc.co.uk

7th July 2020

Johnny Depp's defamation case over newspaper claims that he abused his ex-wife Amber Heard has begun.

Mr Depp is suing The Sun's publisher News Group Newspapers (NGN) and executive editor Dan Wootton over an April 2018 article that referred to him as a "wife beater".

Mr Depp has strenuously denied that he was violent towards Ms Heard.

Both Mr Depp and Ms Heard were seen arriving at the High Court in London on Tuesday morning.

They each wore a face covering, amid the current coronavirus pandemic.

Once the trial began, Mr Depp was called as the first witness.

The actor was not visible on the video-feed to an overspill court room where members of the press were seated.

Mr Depp's barrister David Sherborne asked Mr Depp about a recording of a conversation between the actor and Ms Heard on September 26 2015.

Mr Depp explained that both he and Ms Heard recorded conversations during their relationship.

In her witness statement, Ms Heard had said that she recorded their conversations "to remind Johnny of what he would do when using drugs and alcohol because he wouldn't remember, or deny what he had said".

But Mr Depp said that was not correct, telling the court that Ms Heard's later recollection of their conversations would sometimes be "radically different".

He added: "I, at the time, thought that the best thing to do was to record the conversation, so I retrieved my telephone and brought it to where we were talking and I said, 'I'm going to record this conversation', just so that she knew. I wanted it to be out in the open."

NGN previously tried to have the case thrown out, but Mr Justice Nicol ruled last week the case could go ahead.

The Sun's original article related to allegations made by the actress, who was married to the Pirates of the Caribbean star from 2015 to 2017.

Witnesses including Mr Depp's former partners Vanessa Paradis and Winona Ryder are expected to give evidence via video link, and the trial is expected to last for three weeks.

In preliminary proceedings last month, Mr Justice Nicol ruled that Mr Depp had breached a court order by not providing text messages relating to his alleged drug use.

NGN's lawyers argued that the texts, sent in 2015, demonstrated Mr Depp was trying to get hold of drugs while staying in Australia with Ms Heard, during which time an incident of domestic abuse is alleged to have occurred.

His barrister had said the messages were not relevant because they did not relate to the allegations of domestic violence that The Sun made reference to in an article headlined "Gone Potty - How can JK Rowling be 'genuinely happy' casting wife beater Johnny Depp in the new Fantastic Beasts film?"

The judge said he would grant Mr Depp "relief from sanctions" over the breach of the order.

But Mr Justice Nicol said his decision was conditional on Mr Depp agreeing not to seek sanctions against Ms Heard for allegedly breaching another court order, made during separate libel proceedings in the US, by providing The Sun's legal team with evidence.

Mr Depp, 57, has been Oscar and Bafta-nominated and won a Golden Globe in 2008 for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. He married the Aquaman and The Danish Girl actress, now 34, in February 2015, but she filed for divorce after 15 months.

Hollywood at the High Court: Amber Heard comes armed with fresh allegations against estranged husband Johnny Depp as she arrives with girlfriend Bianca Butti for start of three-week libel trial over claims he beat her

dailymail.co.uk

Article by Vivik Chaudhary and Rory Tingle
7th July 2020

Amber Heard came to the High Court today armed with fresh allegations against her estranged husband Johnny Depp as she arrived with her girlfriend Bianca Butty for the start of a three-week libel trial over claims he beat her.

The 34-year-old, who was wearing a red polka dot scarf over her face, approached the court hand in hand with her sister, Whitney, and lawyer, Jennifer Robinson, before joining 38-year-old Miss Butti near the entrance.

Opening the hearing, Johnny Depp's barrister David Sherborne told the judge that Heard had filed three additional witness statements 'since the last hearing'.

He added that the most recent two - which were sent to Depp's lawyers on Sunday and 'about midnight last night', respectively - raised 'new allegations' against Depp.

Depp, who wore a black face covering and sunglasses, is suing The Sun and its executive editor Dan Wootton over claims the actor behaved like a 'violent monster' towards his former wife during their troubled two-year marriage.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star, 57, was called as the first witness and began giving his testimony this morning. He will strenuously deny all allegations he hit his estranged wife and is expected to spend three days at the stand.
