Depp's lawyers response to Heard's "motion to compel plaintiff to produce documents" seems well written and sensible.
Requests are rejected for reasons including irrelevant, unduly burdensome, overly expensive, unlikely to lead to admissible evidence, blatant harassment .

In the matter of the Sweetzer security video,
"Ms, Heard's motion to compel responses to Request No. 15 is unwarranted. The parties have
not reached impasse on this request, and Mr. Depp is still investigating the existence and extent
of security footage at Sweetzer Avenue, Mr. Depp will respond to Ms. Heard's counsel in due
course, but should not be compelled to produce these documents now."

The security footage at Sweetzer might be hard to get depending on who has it and/or who installed it. If Johnny changed security surveillance companies or equipment he might have to track down where it is and if it even still exists, imo. In the past few years since he turned the home into a studio he gets lots of visitors and does interviews there so he might have upgraded his system. In any event, he isn't refusing to produce it right now so that request should be dismissed.

I feel like saying "No fair!" ...
People believed Ms Heard's accusations right away, and have been punishing Johnny in different ways, since she started this whole mess. But now that Johnny has offered proof, that she actually abuse him, the big media outlets almost all stay silent, and she hasn't lost any jobs. Now they seem to be happy to follow the old idea of 'Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law' :-/
Double standards, much?

Sorry for ranting. And on a Sunday, too  I just needed to say that.

Yessss. And that UCLA and UN and L’Oreal recent fashion show and photo shoots and articles and The Stand cast her... and still she is publicly giving the same victim message even as he is suing her for it for defamation. None are even taking a wait and see approach on her

I think the only reason she got the jobs she has now is because of certain contacts and/or payoffs. As for The Stand, it is a miniseries of ten episodes and let's not forget she was dating a director for a while...
She has not worked as an actress since Aquaman and I don't think it's because of her being choosy. In fact, I think she is pretty much black listed in Hollywood.

The flip side to all her so called advantages from being a pseudo activist is that little by little, the dirt about her con artist schemes are being revealed. The most recent one is the scandal connected to James Franco. His behavior certainly will be of a concern when it comes to the video footage of him with Amber Heard being cozy together in the elevator heading to Johnny's apartment while he was away. All be it that this scandal is recent, it still is relevant and supports Johnny's defamation lawsuit because Franco's known unscrupulous behavior dates back to shortly before the video clip took place. Surely Amber Heard knew of James Franco's original scandal back then. It's been suggested that the real reason that Johnny wasn't keen on her doing the movie with Franco was because he knew of Franco's salacious behavior with women and in reality, Johnny was trying to protect Amber. I hope Mr. Waldman and Mr. Chew will be able to show the connection and weave this new important information into Heard's hypocritical public image.

Someone has a portion of Rocky’s deposition. He admitted to taking the photo. He also had it posted on Facebook. Then he admitted to deleting it after he filed the lawsuit as he didn’t think it was a good idea to keep it, . That’s sorta what happened in the Kevin Spacey trial. The mother or plaintiff deleted some photos and texts. That was tampering with evidence. Then they found out about the potential crime so the plaintiff pleaded the 5th in the stand and the case was dismissed as a result. Depp team can probably cite this in their defense.

(Sorry, I don’t know how to post twitter links)

Your link works fine :airkiss2:
What an - no, I won't even call Brooks an idiot, because that would be insulting to idiots - but smart, he ain't! He doesn't seem to be able to think logically about what consequence even small. seemingly insignificant things can have in the long run.
He reminds me a lot of you-know-who ...
No? Not Voldemort  Amber :spin:

I think, I would just have let it stand. And then, if anybody asked me about it later, said, that I didn't dare make the big bad man - our sweet Johnny, that is - angry at me again at that moment, so agree to the selfie. The way Brooks did it shows all too clearly, that he was actually happy about the photo, until he, or somebody advising him, thought it was a good idea to sue Johnny over a lie.

One thing that seems to stand out. If someone was going to pay his guy off, I think much of his deposition would have been better prepared, etc. I’m thinking Rocky did this in his own when he saw a scam opportunity. I don't know. Taking advantage of all his other legal troubles thinking he had a quick settlement option and big payout.

In August of 2018, Mr. Waldman gave this comment following JD’s request for dismissal of the Rocky suit along with no award for costs:
“Mr. Brooks, and others who have abused Mr. Depp, are about to discover the consequences for making false accusations,” says Depp's attorney Adam Waldman.
Obviously, the case was not dismissed back then, the legal fees kept mounting, Rocky never showed for his original deposition, City of Lies was pulled from it’s scheduled September theatrical distribution with Johnny’s “on-set behavior” being cited as a probable cause for Global Road’s action (later grudgingly attributed by some news outlets to financial missteps somehow not related to JD), and Johnny continued to be mercilessly hammered in the tabloids. Can a price tag even be put on the damage to Johnny’s reputation and career at this point, not to mention the costly hours his legal team had to put in addressing the unsavory mess?

Fast forward, (around AH’s Washington Post OpEd), to the current status of the Rocky fiasco, supposedly now backed by the superstar attorney Pat Harris, and it’s time for “the consequences for making false accusations” to be dumped at the feet of grab-an-easy-windfall Rocky. I don’t believe for an instant Mr. Brooks got this far with his suit without some very clever, deep pockets, well behind the scenes, nudging him along with promises and treats along the way to keep him on board, in line, and ready to say “how high?” when told to jump as soon as the timing was right (i.e. when things started getting sticky after AH’s OpEd finally forced Johnny’s hand). Having had Rocky submit a statement in his own words was a nice touch. Almost, almost made it to the finish line - had it not been for the sorry introduction of Rocky’s long overdue, pathetic deposition (perhaps Rocky went rogue, perhaps coaching Rocky was not worth anymore effort, perhaps he’d done the damage needed when it was needed and it was time to cut him loose . . . ) as well as some less-than-professional discovery colluding between attorneys on two (three? Bloom, too?) current, separate cases involving JD.

Arrogant, greedy bumbler though he may be, Gregg “Rocky” Brooks made a choice to go for the big bucks. In doing so, his participation helped ensure the carefully laid groundwork of hideous lies and false accusations that eventually morphed into a relentless, no-holds-barred onslaught of hate, ridicule, and downright persecution against an innocent man (and, not to be lost in the rubble, his family) would continue, unabated, to the present day.

It’s time: Never forget. Never forgive. Anyone.

Update on defamation case in Virginia. Now AH wants everything from Bloom et al from 1999 basically re violence, drug/alcohol, payoffs settlements, etc. including all deposition and documents from their current trial with JD. Including communication between the bodyguards that sued him, and Rocky, and a bunch more.

How about sticking to proving that Johnny abused her, as she has now claimed in more than three years ...
And maybe also prove, that she didn't abused him.

I’m not aware of a no show by Rocky for a deposition? I know his lawyer missed a case conference early on (media wrongly reported that Rocky was a no show, when he wasn’t required to be there). His lawyer submitted a letter stating the parking lot she normally uses was closed to construction. Her phone battery died. By the time she reached the court room, she was 15 min late and everyone had left. She also submitted a receipt for a battery. The judge canceled future hearings on her not showing up. Accepted her explanation and apology. No harm no fowl

However, I forgot about the late late entrance of Pat Harris. Why would he take this after what little we’ve see of Rocky’s deposition. Which includes him destroying evidence. Hmmm???

As far as I can see Johnny gave his deposition on Sept 11 and Rocky gave his Sept 25. (From documents being passed around). I see Johnny has filed his deposition portions objected to on Rocky’s deposition.. Nearly 117 pages. And 67 pages of his own that he is objecting too. Too rich for my blood, sorry.

My goodness! AH and her legal team certainly have given themselves a lot of work for zero results. Not to mention, she still hasn't provided any evidence of abuse. Has she given her deposition yet? I think not at this point. Her latest requests are frivolous and I hope will cost her above and beyond her means. She should focus more on tossing in the towel than her crazy efforts in character assassination.

They mutually agreed to delay all major depositions until after the bulk of discovery is complete. That way no one can surprise or sand bag either party with just discovered documents
