We have all heard the video tapes and there is NOTHING in any of them where she mentions being struck by him, except where he accidentally went over her toes with a door and even then, he brought it up, not her.

The only thing she has is what she told other people, what she wants people to think happened, and pics of fake injuries which she got no medical treatment for. She has no witnesses and just because some of these experts say they saw bruises doesn't mean they were real. With bruises often comes swelling and I didn't hear anything about that. Just like make up can cover bruises, it can also be done to create fake bruises.

Sadly, my impression of the cross on Dr.Hughes was not that good in my opinion. Should have been more pressing! JDs lawyer seemed confused at times, loosing his line of questioning and often had to have her answers be the last word on a topic.

As for AH, I am tired of her way of talking already, not to mention her facial expressions. Wow. But all of this aside, she cannot describe her "old" incidents in detail. Who would with her numerous stories? Instead, she is inventing new things, more difficult to prove when people cannot testify against it. (See Lily-Rose and JJ)

Worrysome:
One pic with the bruise on her arm. If that bruise is tied to the one Dr. Anderson saw and JD was the reason for it, its done.

Very impressed by the twitter community, they know soo much stuff and have all the receipts ready. Everyone of them could destroy AH in a cross easily. I hope JDs lawyers are equally up for it.

I think, JD suffered the most today about the statements she made about Lily-Rose. Could feel the anger coming up. And if I was in Lily-Roses' shoes having seen her testimony - I would be mad no doubt.

I have only seen part of the cross examination of Dr Hughes - okay in parts but he seems off his game (JD's lawyer) - he couldn't seem to press home his points.

It appears they were not allowed to bring in her arrest for DV?

Managed to sit through AH's testimony. I thought she started well - painted a saintly picture of herself and that may be a big mistake.

As she got into it the awful acting started. Despite screwing up her face - she could not manage one tear as she described the horrors.

She has also laid herself open to some difficulties in cross examination.

They are being often loose with dates - in the UK she got herself into a pickle by being specific on dates - but this time she is conflating incidents and times. She has dropped some details eg the time travelling smeg fridge- but don't see why these details cannot be used to impeach her.

Several pieces of her evidence were not allowed in.

Really interesting - she gave us a description of what happened that led to her bruised arm - he apparently repeatedly hit her in the face - her face is visible in the picture and it is unmarked.

She has said that it is unacceptable to hit a women - will that allow in her DV record?

It is hard to watch because I don't want to be unsympathetic to such awful stories - but we have heard how this women is and behaves and she is a million miles away from that screeching on the tapes.

Although Johnny is often upset or angry on the tapes - there is a connection to the person who sat in court and the person on the tapes. You could often hear him being calm and reasonable. She is either screaming and berating or mocking or trying to be seductive - nothing like how she is portraying herself on the stand.

I pray the jury can see through this charade - because it really is a charade - and she obviously believes herself to be stunning good at this. Twitter/internet remaining strongly behind him.

I’ve never watched such a pile of histrionic tripe in all my life. The jury may choose to believe her but I certainly don’t. There is so much one could pick apart here from the evidence given by Johnny’s witnesses. More of this tomorrow I guess, I loved the fact that he didn’t once look at her.

Amber is on the stand now. Smiling at the jury, butter wouldn't melt. Complete fake. I'll have to watch this in short bursts, mind you it's probably the best acting she's ever done.
Her lawyers are going to portray her that way. Just wait until cross examination :giddy: . I usually do not listen to any commentary. I listened to a few minutes of commentary on Court TV this morning. They said a few things that I found interesting. One was that she has to own up to the things that she did in this relationship. If she does not own up to what she has done or tries to minimize it she will lose credibility with the jurors. I think Court TV is rather biased. But, they did say that Johnny owned up to the things that he did and AH needs to do the same. They also speculated about how AH was prepared for her testimony. The Court TV people said that AH and her lawyers probably spent many hours going over her depositions in preparation for her testimony. Remember, how Johnny testified? It was completely unrehearsed. AH should be able to get through her direct testimony without a problem. She most likely has been given the questions and answers to the direct testimony. They can try to rehearse for cross examination, but they do not know how and what Johnny's lawyers are going to ask her. I expect her story to fall completely apart.

Is anyone else super concerned that mass media is already picking up on Dr. Hughes/AH lies as though they were facts? I was scanning my phone and found an article in People Magazine stating that "Johnny Depp did a cavity search on AH..." Not a fact folks.

Truly I am wondering whether it is ever possible to win against a liar who will commit any perjury needed to win. Truth doesn't win over public relations unfortunately. Damn, I really was hoping for Kathleen Zellner. If you are going to win against people like this crowd you have to play hardball.

I didn't feel Hughes was lying; I think AH has convinced Hughes that she was actually abused by JD. I think that's how deceptive and dangerous AH is.

She has a new PR now and we all know how the media likes clicks. We all know she is no china doll and would have decked him at any moment she would want to and it wouldn't be the first time. I thought she was a bad actor before but this gig takes the cake.

This live streamer is a lawyer and has lawyer guests on. They all give their opinions about the testimonies but also have some good laughs, even though this is a serious matter, but sometimes it makes me feel good that I'm not the only one thinking the same thing.

I've started looking at some of her testimony and wow, she is a terrible actress. She moves around a lot and flashes expression after expression -- all meant to convey how devastated she was 'in the moment' but it's so artificial. The expressions on her face, if you turn down the sound, are either disgust or anger. She acts 'as though' she is experiencing intense emotion but it comes across as a series of facial movements -- let's try this one, and now that one, and more, more -- there something downright teenager-ish about her. You know, when you want to act like 'all that' but you don't have a clue what 'all that' is really about? At one point she is describing the first time that JD struck her across the face (actually described as multiple times he struck, all because she asked about his 'wino' tattoo). In the scene she describes, she falls to the floor, and what seizes her attention? That the carpet is dirty. She goes on and one about the carpet. This is AH's attempt to be so out of it, after the horrible smacks, that she is so disoriented that she is gazing at and thinking about the dirt on the floor.

Now, yes, there is a thing called shock. But again, AH's attempt to reproduce shock fails miserably. Truly, it was then that I realized that the woman truly isn't capable of emotional range. She is cipher-like, perhaps can intellectually analyze emotion but cannot 'act' the part because she has never felt emotions deeply. Except for; rage, disgust and anger.

I think people are confusing the court of public opinion with the trial. The court of public opinion has nothing to do with the trial. The only people who are deciding this case are the jurors. They are forbidden from reading about or listening to the coverage. The way to win against a liar is to point out her descrepancies. She has told so many lies. The jurors are not going to jump to conclusions based on the small amount of testimony from AH's team. We should not be jumping to conclusions about this trial based on the small amount of testimony from AH'S side. Please be patient and wait for all of the testimony. Most of all remember the news media is not determining the outcome of this trial, social media is NOT determining the outcome of this trial.

I still cannot digest Dr.Hughes approach.
How can AH describe multiple acts of violence put upon her, which are not backed up by her medical professionals, she decides not to tell her various therapists (to protect the "abuser") and not tell the police. How can a forensic psych then come to the conclusion someone is a victim of DV???
Since when can you judge or diagnose people by the absence of symptoms and making excuses for them to make it fit your narrative? Its wild.
