I have only been able to dip in and out but seems like JD did really well, kept calm - got points in - particularly loved his response to the illegally recorded cupboard bashing video. Made the good point she wasn't intimidated and if she was could have left.

Heartbreaking end playing the recording of self harming (possibly) in SF - and just left it at that - but JD's reaction - he cried, so human.

And all of it comes down to - where is the abuse? When did he abuse her.

Rottenborn was bested many times I saw - he didn't manage to box him in - I may have missed when this happened, but seemed to me that it went pretty well.

And Jason Momoa is following JD on instagram now? That's going to hurt her.

I agree! Have not watched every minute of JD being on the stand today, but he did very well in my opinion. Right on the line between open and sharp, sometimes funny. UK cross examination was way harder to respond too.

Can't wait to have AH on the stand - we will have to go through this numbing process of "pull up exhibit A-objection?-redaction! -permission to publish-question" again which ruins the flow but AH will be pressed into a corner - hopefully!
A shame none of her witnesses besides Whitney will be on the stand.

Without the 70.000 texts AHs team accidently received from his team, the trial would be over in two weeks. What a tragic mistake.

Listening to the "cutting" audio for the first time I thought I heard her admit to having tried cutting to numb pain herself and found it didn't work. If she did, it will support Jerry Judge's statement about seeing the marks on her arm.

Yes, AdeleAgain, Johnny did do very well today. I’d missed a good bit of the morning but later heard commentators on several sites agree, as Rottenborn was seemingly beginning to unravel in scattered drug and alcohol redirects, “Johnny Depp is the smartest person in the room.” Made me smile.

I think Johnny was just trying hard to get through that last disturbing audiotape ( yes, SF). It was longer than I’d remembered but had lost none of its gut-wrenching impact. Johnny quietly and understandably lost that fight.

I can no longer accurately quantify the depth and breadth of my intense dislike for AH and anyone helping to keep her afloat.

Nice going Mr. Rotten... You introduced an audio tape from when the ex had a TRO against JD but asked him to meet her at a hotel in San Francisco and at that hotel she asked for a hug which he refused and later on she got upset and he told her to go lie down on the bed and she asked him to lie down with her and again he said no. He was so upset with her that he wanted to cut himself and he started to cry on the stand listening to the audio, which I'm sure you heard the whole thing. I hope you're proud of yourself and can sleep tonight.

Yesterday was a very hard watch but what I saw was a man who has had his issues with drink/drugs/demons, but absolutely no evidence of him striking Amber or physically abusing her in any way.

Judymac, I totally agree: I'm thinking the world will see how useless & unprofessional he is. So far, I've seen no evidence produced of Johnny being physically abusive to AH. I really hope his lawyers are on the ball & will 'legally' tear her limb from limb.

At the end of the day, Johnny's personal life and whatever problems he's had aren't the issue, the issue is whether he abused his wife - and he didn't. His track record shows he has zero history of abusing previous partners, while the husband beater - does. This is what they need to focus on.

I am heartened by everyone's posts here. Team Depp must have realized that those heated texts would sound awful. But JD HAS handled it well. His beautiful soul comes through no matter what. I have watched most of the trial on CourtTV even with their horrible anchors and commentators and "breaks." That last bit in SF, did he get to say that Miss Heard came to him, against the TRO. I missed some of that. I hope they play more audio already in evidence where she is SCREAMING at him, stuff I have not heard and find it very difficult to listen to. I feel like we Zoners need to form a support group somehow to get through the next several weeks. Thanks to everyone, Nick and Brian too for their reporting as best they can.

I totally agree Scout!! My mind is blown and I have so many questions and I feel like I’m watching my best friend get punched in the gut!!! I’ve watched all the lawyers on u tube shows today to try to get some answers. There are a couple I really like Emily. Anyway it’s hard to process. I know I haven’t been active for a long time, but I’ve been keeping up here everyday. My question today is all the rubbish Rottenbom did playing dirty yesterday with Johnny’s cross, and now all this coming out about her using a makeup to cover her bruises that haven’t even been produced until 2017 And her selling that video of Johnny that she secretly was recording to TMZ !!!!!
