Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Sky has injected a small amount of humour into this. Their feed says:
"We now return to a favourite theme in this case - Yorkshire Terriers Pistol and Boo.
We are talking about the couples return to Australia to complete Depp's filming of Pirates Of The Caribbean. This was the occasion when the dogs were illegally "smuggled" into the country, creating a bio hazard threat.
However, at this point it seems the judge has heard enough about the dogs, and says he has already listened to plenty of evidence on this. Possibly Judge Nicol is more of a cat man."
AH gave extensive evidence on this yesterday in which her lovely humble personality literally leapt off the page when reading as she blamed Johnny (many times), Kevin, Kate, I think Stephen may have been in there, and all the hundreds of people who work for Johnny. She tried to bluster her way through the emails she had in fact written to claim to she was confused and believed it had been done and anyway she took the blame - hero that she is - so why is everyone having a go at her?
Quite honestly I think we all heard enough and I take this as a good sign that the judge didn't want to hear her speak about it any more.

In regards to Josh Drew & his testimony - as well as the rest of AH's entourage of cohorts - they will ALL commit prejury. Why?
Blackmail, extortion, fear, intimation - AH's MO.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I broke my nose when I was 13. On the next day terrible bruises under my eyes and swelling came out. Week after the accident I went to new school, so I put a heavy make up on to cover it up. And guess what? It was still visible. A week after! So I will never believe that she covered up fresh bruises and swelling with concealer.AdeleAgain wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 1:58 pmThank you Melanie Makeup - yes concealer hides discolouration but I do not believe it hides swelling.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I would just like to thank the person who tweeted this and sent my entire office into whoops of laughter.
We are going to try to use 'Turdsplaining" in client pitches. I love this even more than the judge being more of a cat person.
(Mainly I think I am just relieved she is off the stand. I see why JD split the whole time. Just. Stop. Talking.)

Turdsplaining - Fabricating events as you go along, often defying gravity and the time space continuum. “I thought my eyes would pop out” “It splattered the SMEG” “he was asleep doing coke and whiskey” etc.

Good one! I think we all need a bit of humor to cope with this madness.
Just saw someone on Twitter say "Heard Salad" to Whitney's description of their incident.

Thank you. I did not think that a person could have a broken nose and hide it the next day with makeup. Did you go to the hospital or the doctor when you broke your nose? I am wondering because it seems to me that a person with a broken nose would at the very least go to a doctor. I also find it odd that Amber did not take any photos of her broken nose two black eyes and busted lip.Justme wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 7:36 amI broke my nose when I was 13. She takes pictures all the time and is glued to her phone like most millennials. There are dozens of "red puffy face" pictures, but not a single one of a healing bruise (black/blue/light green, what have you) or anything to the scale of what she's describing. It's ridiculous.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
We need the transcript for today. Whitney was all over the place.
And apparently one of Amber's main witnesses (either IO or Raquel) is trying to get out of testifying. Something was brought up in court and Depp Fan was there.
Raquel took her IG private. She was inundated with comments quoting Josh's depo about her fraud and thievery

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
One thing that I wish Ms. Law would have done is pointed out that Johnny is not almost twice as big as Amber. There is a picture of then getting off the plane when they are coming back to Australia. Both are casually dressed, so she can not say that she was wearing high heels. You can see that they are close to the same height. She was also not a skinny little waif. The idea that back then she was a tiny little helpless woman getting beat up by a huge monster, just goes to her lack of credibility. I wish that Johnny's team would have emphasized the lie that he was almost twice as big as poor little Amber.
Also, I thought a lot of her answers sounded scripted and rehearsed. She repeated the same things over and over. Ms. Law called her out for not answering the questions and for using many questions as an opportunity to say something negative about Johnny. But I wish that when Amber repeated the same lies, Ms. Law would have asked Amber if her answers were scripted and rehearsed.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I think ultimately, it's irrelevant how much bigger he is than Amber. The fact that she and her team keep trying to use this as an argument shows how warped and backwards her perception of domestic abuse is.
Maybe Sherborne will say something about this in his closing argument, and they will surely point out how Amber kept contradicting herself. Ms Laws also said several times "You're making this up as you go along" and "You have to navigate a complicated web of lies" (paraphrasing on the last one). I think they let her continue talking so she could incriminate herself more.

Yes! This is going to be an interesting read... I wish they were available as audio books

I didn't. I was too scared because I heard that setting it (I'm not sure if this is a right word) it's very painful and I was already in so much pain that I couldn't touch my face.Judymac wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 11:30 am

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
A thought has just occurred to me. Has AH set up Raquel as an insurance policy? Has she been worried for some months that Raquel will turn? We only have AH's explanation to Josh about what happened between them. If Raquel does indeed not show up or go flaky, can AH/stans say - ah well she's a fraud anyway she ripped AH off. I am probably being too conspiratorial but AH seems so manipulative and how hard can it be for an attractive woman to manipulate a humiliated and grieving man?
I've said before, Raquel should have thrown herself on JD and Adam's mercy a long time ago.
