Well, some have, and have still written online that the tapes show a woman reasoning with her abuser, and trying to get him to realise what he's done. I am afraid that that the die hard Amberites will claim she is innocent, and was abused until the cows come home, and then some ...

Yes, meeps, I agree with you about what AH’s hardcore, blind - and apparently deaf - followers are determined to hold onto. But the insanity of it is that one MUST ask: How is AH trying to “reason” with her “abuser”? By unrelentingly badgering him, cutting him off, talking over him, or yelling at him?

Most interestingly, exactly what is it that AH is trying to make JD realize ? Although she has come right out and admitted to hitting him and starting physical fights - she does so in response to his questions. At no point does AH risk turning the questions around and ask Johnny if he ever hit her? Did he ever start physical fights?. She knows damn well she’d be opening Pandora’s box - he could and would answer honestly, “No”. Even in the two times he speaks about (1) pushing her, and (2) throwing a can, he did so in self defense or to enable himself to leave the scene, never to initiate an altercation. AND she never says a word to “correct” him or to specifically challenge his verbiage with a different interpretation.

That's a really good point Justintime - she NEVER says that Johnny also started fights - just that he won't fight with her.

I still cannot get over the extortion letter she sent. To me, that is such a piece of damming evidence. Johnny's mother passed on May 20th. She filed for divorce within a week of that event and she received some really bad press because of that. The letter goes out around that same time. Johnny refuses to its demands and files his own dissolution of the marriage. She then appears coming from court where she got the TRO like on the same day with bruises on her face claiming they came from a fight on May 21st, when, at one point, I read somewhere that she was trying to console Johnny. On one of the phone tapes she is screaming at Johnny that he didn't need to file an answer that started all the court stuff. She was so mad about that I didn't quite know what she meant, but it all comes together. She was looking for a huge, ongoing payout, and when she didn't get it this ploy to gain her back some good press all began.

I know I must be stating the obvious but these pieces finally all fit in place for me and I needed to share. How is AH not exhausted?

Johnny may be reluctant to push for Amber being prosecuted, but she should be. She's a spousal abuser, she abused him and she abused a former partner and as such they should throw the book at her.
There was a recent article discussing this case, and I was frankly shocked and disturbed when a lady lawyer, who specialises in representing abused refugees , was supporting Heard and argued that her story must be believed because it will have repercussions for abused women.
Heard has been exposed as a liar, yet people are still defending her.
Yes, unfortunately many liars have their supporters. They believe what they want to believe. I think many people are too embarrassed to admit they are wrong, no matter how much proof is presented to them, that they will still hang onto the belief, just to avoid feeling like a fool.
I think the lady lawyer may have a deeper reason than what is on the surface. Either that or she is completely unaware than some women can be monsters, and then play the victim card because their gender and size is a convenient "convincing" factor. If the lawyer believes her, then she has scant knowledge. There are so many factors about this case that are incongruous to a real victim's experience.

That's a poor excuse to put in a motion not to appear. Frankly, I would be surprised if it even goes forward in July. I don't know about the UK but things are very slow to be opening in major parts of the US and there is a big concern the protesters yelling without masks will cause the numbers to rise back up.

I think if it doesn’t happen in July it could take another year. I don’t wish that on Johnny

California studios and filming are starting up June 12 I think

It may take some time before it dawns on anyone who believes Amber Heard that she's a con artist. It's a hard pill to swallow and like Snowcat pointed out, no one wants to look like a fool after so many years of supporting Heard. She can be very convincing to those who foolishly want to believe all women without studying the facts. Unfortunately, it's a stubborn trait that still exists that a man couldn't possibly be victimized by a female. Our culture, in my opinion, will always be male dominated and with that comes the mindset that men are the strength, the backbone and more powerful gender. Society is programed that men are strong and women are weak and that is what Amber Heard convincingly portrayed in her hoax. She got the gullible to side with her and with ongoing financial backing and shady negotiating, her supporters pushed a lie into the truth. Thank goodness legal intervention broke down the hoax to expose the evidence of how the narcissistic Amber Heard was never the victim.

:agreesign: It's funny she gets this backing from corps and paid for IG likes because nobody is supporting her on that UK tabloid site anymore. Or should I say the one person who was posting under 20+ different names.

I was reading through the posts on this page - and when I came to this little one I could feel my stomach just flat out drop. No net.

Is another postponement possibility - a year-long one, no less - an absolute worst case scenario just included to cover all bases or is it, indeed, a likelihood?

I think if the case should get postponed again due to the covid-19 virus, it could put the case INTO the new year because of the court's calendar but let's wait and see what happens. A lot of people are protesting without masks or social distancing which is not good.

We can't do anything about the court date except pray fervently that it doesn't change.

But we can continue to unpack what's going on especially thanks to Lbock's updates! So here is what I am grappling with:

- We think AH (or her sponsor) is footing the legal bill for the lawyer most of the witnesses are using;

- You would think therefore that AH wants her witnesses to testify for her and would be pressuring them to do so, because if her/the Sun are to have a hope in this, they surely need them;

- But now I am thinking DOES AH want them to testify? Is the danger that they will simply make things worse for themselves because it is incredibly hard to retell events under scrutiny if you are not being truthful, and even more so if the hoaxers aren't all together in the same room to check on what each other is saying?

Melanie's statement - which is already on record so it's hard to dial back from it - has already been picked apart on twitter so imagine what a clever London barrister is going to do with it.

I am also wondering just how Melanie must be feeling right now - pretty much like she was drawn into a trap by AH. Give a statement in the Virginia case, it's never going to go ahead so don't worry none of us will ever have to testify; oh whoops that has now gone into the London case but don't worry - it's just a stand alone piece of evidence - you won't have to sit there and explain anything ........

What do you all make of the proposal that she gives testimony from her own home? I wonder if that is just a wheeze to again get out of it - I am not sure London courts accept that, I think you have to be in an official facility if giving evidence remotely. And if not - well, wouldn't you just know that the wi fi is being a bit funny that day and first question from JD's barrister and .... oops I can't hear you, can you repeat ...... oh no she's gone .......

I don't know for sure but I really can't see a trial happening by video. Based on the videos I have been part of, only one person can speak at a time and they would still have to pick a jury, all of whom would have to be available and have the means to participate by video also. Sometimes people loose connection, they go on mute, their screen goes blank...all kind of issues could happen if they did a trial by video. If the trial goes forward in July she would need to be there 2 weeks before for quarantine. Same with Johnny.
