This was just a quick research but according to this site, AH would have had file her appeal from the judge's ruling within 7 days of the order.

Yes but the order was filed during the COVID-19 Emergency judicial ruling that all cases are adjourned and deadlines tolled. Those 7 days now count from June 7

@judymac. She used the time-barred republication in her Demurrer and the judge overruled it. That is what some are thinking she may appeal. The ruling in that part of her Demurrer
It sounds like they are getting desperate. :lolsign:

They don't have a prayer on whatever they run on appeal.

Now for the *answer".
Laura, yes, Heard's previous lawyers came up with some sort of an *answer* at one stage but it's obvious it was all lies.
Does Kaplan do the same?
Most of these lies have been debunked.

Like I said, it will be interesting to see how they approach the *answer*.

And twitter-ers and commenters who go around writing that this was *mutual abuse* are from Heard's team.
This is their new line of defence.

Further to the point above.

It will come down to who the Judge in the UK and who the jury in US believe.

From all the evidence Johnny has given, and his consistent recollections of events, who do you think is going to be believed?

The UK Judge is well aware of the above.

Yeah, I think it's a no-brainer.

Imo, If they are saying "mutual abuse" it means that they are admitting she abused him. After all, we all heard the tapes and saw his photos with dates and time stamps. However, she has no real evidence or witnesses that have come forward that they saw him abuse he and none of her photos have date and time stamps, including the one of the fake bruise she sold to the media.

Ok, didn't know that but it's only going to make her look desperate and I think she still has to file the answer unless she does a motion to hold it in abeyance while the appeal is happening. Not sure how that works.

Forever Young, I agree with you.

But this is the only defence they have got.
And yes, they have NO evidence.
But that hasn't stopped them before.

Like I said the UK Judge knows truth.

It hasn't stopped them before in the VA court by trying desperate measures to get the case dismissed and they lost every time. If they file an appeal in VA they go to a higher court with a different judge.

No judge worth their salt will throw this case out.

They really don't have any strong grounds for appeal but let them try.

Frankly, I don't think the VA case will ever go to trial. If she refuses to file the Answer she goes into default. " Except in suits for divorce or annulling a marriage, the court shall, on motion of the plaintiff, enter judgment for the relief appearing to the court to be due." Now..of course we know she doesn't have $50 Mil and she's done in Hollywood so even if Johnny really wanted her money he could go after future earnings from the little things she is doing but I doubt he would and he's not going to leave her homeless but in the end her lies and all the things he could have come out with in the press will have been exposed through a court of law.

Of course, this is only my opinion but from what I can see it's her only way out.
Trying to catch up on all posts from the weekend. Wow! Y'all have been busy!!

Just one quick comment: I agree withyou ForeverYoung. Knowing Johnny as we do, I really think he just wants to get his name cleared and wants vindication for all the vicious lies that have been spread about him over the last several years. I could be completely wrong, but I don't see him doing anything to leave her "homeless" because I think he's too tenderhearted to do that. He also probably knows there is no way in heck he'll get $50M from her.....but clearing his name would be a big WIN!

ForeverYoung - are you, and the law, saying, that Johnny can sort of win the VA case by default if she doesn't answer?
If I have understood that correctly I am not sure, that I would like that outcome.
That would, in my eyes, make it all too easy for her fans and the media on her side to make a martyr out of her, claiming that she is so afraid of the big bad monster - our actually sweet Johnny - that she didn't dare face him in open court ...
Couldn't agree more, Meeps. The LAST thing he needs is for her to be allowed to present herself as a martyr. Something tells me Adam won't let that happen though.

I think AH has allot of pressure from her lawyers to participate in The Sun trial. Up until end of 2019 they believed her, who knows what they believe now. I mean, come on, she’s been in the activist podium tour, and now she is shy.

So first it was I can’t testify unless Johnny lifts the entire NDA agreement, which she knew Johnny would never do, and he didn’t, But the U.K. judge accepted that Johnny would allow her to testify to matters relating to this lawsuit, oops

IMO, There was some negotiations behind the scene for months, because it took forever to get her to publicly agree to testify. Speculating, she has a deal I think that the Sun won’t countersue her if they lose. That’s reasonable but still a guess on my part. This is pretty common between lawyers to negotiate some kind of immunity for important witnesses (and Sun has stated she is their key witness)

But I think the big tell was the last minute new claim of a sexual abuse issue. In U.K. she should automatically get a private testimony order on that alone, and I think she counted in that. I think her UK lawyer who is a huge human rights lawyer convinced her this would happen. So she figures what can go wrong, just a judge and lawyers and no one can report in it. Here testimony remains secret whichever way it goes. The public knows I went through this terrible ordeal for justice, as a victim I had to relive it all. But oops, the judge is only allowing that small portion of her testimony in private, not her entire testimony,

For that reason, I think she will do everything possible to get out of it. But based on what’s happened so far, the judge will compel her as he did with he other witnesses.
Lbock.......May I say how much I always enjoy your insights? I have learned so much about this case from you and a few others. Thank you!

I agree.....and although I've been a fan of his forever, I just recently stumbled upon Brian's videos on YouTube....Then this forum.....and also Twitter. I have learned so much in the process. (My children are doing homeschool.....and I'm reading depositions and going over legal commentary to find out what all has happened to this sweet man in the last several years. )

Anyway, I so appreciate everyone's input and opinions.

And now more than ever, I want justice for Johnny.
