If a criminal trial were to take place it would be in California where much of the domestic violence occurred.
The outcome I want is for AH to have to admit publicly that she lied. I would hate to see any settlement in which she did not have to admit that.
Yes she needs to admit that she purposely lied. I hope she does not try to get away with saying that she did not really lie, she was confused. I am not saying she will do that but she is so incredibly dishonest that I would not be surprised by anything she does.
My guess is that she will blame whatever she said on the lawyers because nothing is ever her fault. She creates situations and blames them on everyone else. :smh:  :censored:

I agree, I wouldn't put that past her using confusion as an excuse for bad behavior. I'll be really surprised if she outright confesses to her hoax and lies. Her pattern has always been one of passing the blame, excuses and denial. When all is said and done, I'm confident that the jury will be able to read through her deflection and lies. Ultimately, if the court has its say, the truth will be exposed and headlines will read how she hoaxed her abuse.

You're very welcome, Chocolat :airkiss2:
ForeverYoung - I seem to remember, that she already tried to blame the lawyers, or maybe just one lawyer, in a text to Johnny after she had accused him of abuse the first time. Claimed, that she got confused. Also claimed, that they loved each other and had the power ... When in reality she had all the power. He could just duck his head, dig in his heels and mumble "No, won't pay the blackmailer!" :ohno:

I know we aren't supposed to mention other victims of spousal abuse, but in the UK a woman who recently was convicted of the physical and mental abuse of her partner received a seven year jail sentence.
Amber Heard should face the same.

I've clicked on that link and got 'not found'. ::

But I have been heartened by other articles where the truth is coming out and people are starting to back Johnny, thank goodness.

Sadly Heard may never get the jail sentence she deserves, but I'll settle for her reputation being trashed, as she tried to trash Johnny..

I also hope any future partner's take heed; abusers have a pattern of it. In fact, this is why when I first heard the accusations I didn't believe them.
Johnny has zero history of being an abusive man, even in his bad times.

So sorry, hollyberry. When I initially read this, it was on Twitter and the link worked before I posted it. You are right though, it doesn’t work now. The link shown below takes you to the intro, but the whole response - Kathleen Taggart answers: “Who was ultimately the abuser, Johnny Depp or Amber Heard?” is found on the tumblr link. I don’t belong to that so I can’t check it out.

Kathleen Taggart is certainly very much on Johnny's side :truefan: I hope you're allowed to follow this link: to her Quora page

I think, the comment JustInTime wanted to show us was this:

From everything I can gather regarding this situation I would have to say that Amber Heard is the ultimate abuser.

Heard has a documented history of domestic violence and a reputation for being quick-tempered and violent while Johnny Depp has no such history and no such reputation.

According to law enforcement who responded to her claims of domestic violence and according to former friends and associates of hers, Heard is lying about having suffered violence at the hands of Johnny Depp and was, in fact, the abusive and violent spouse during her short marriage to him.

So; Amber Heard abused the public’s trust and the public sympathy for women who are abused by their male partners, Heard abused Depp, Heard exploited abused women by reinventing herself as a “domestic violence advocate” despite having been guilty of abuse in the past (would any male ever be accepted as a women’s advocate if he had been arrested for assaulting a woman?).

Heard exploited victims of domestic violence in order to further punish Johnny Depp, to gain the public’s sympathy and to further her career.

Based on all of that, I feel that Amber Heard is the ultimate abuser. On a number of fronts.
But that's not the only time, she has defended Johnny and tried to explain, that he's one of the good guys instead an abuser :heart4:

I do have a Tumblr account, and I've read it, thanks.
I know this is a bit misogynistic but the fact that this is a woman defending Johnny is heartening.

Thank you, meeps, for figuring out what I was trying to show, AND for posting the entire response! :bouquet: I have no idea who Kathleen Taggart is, but she sure has a way with words. When I find good things like this - concise and on-point - I try to get them over here but usually forget where I read them - and, of course, it’s downhill from there . . . Again, thanks!

No misogyny involved at all, hollyberry, just giving credit where credit is due!

I have the same problem with getting back to something I have liked/remember where it saw it  But in this case I love Quora and have admired Ms Taggart's good writing before, so it was easy to find her again
And yes, it is nice that a woman speaks up for Johnny - I guess though more want to, but is afraid of the backlash from those who think they know better ... Just my theory about that

:hello: It's nice to be back!

And thank you for that article you posted, it's a really good, concise summary of the situation. Perfect for showing it to people who aren't up to speed on everything.

In general, I find that the people I talk to have a favorable opinion of Johnny. They mostly don't really know what went on exactly, but I hear a lot of "... but apparently, his ex is really the crazy one?", almost with a tone of relief.

One very subjective advantage Johnny has is that he's much more charismatic, whereas Amber just rubs a lot of people the wrong way. I tried to brush that off, because women are often held to a different standard when it comes to "being relatable", plus I didn't want to be unfair towards someone just because she basically had what we all wanted. But now, her off-putting ice princess vibes are coming in handy.

To be honest, I don't even want to know what kind of life she must have had in order to become so twisted and I do feel pity for her amongst the anger. That doesn't mean I want her to get away scot-free, but I don't feel a burning desire for pitchforks and pillories.

Johnny was always a favorite of the public, but not so much critics and journalists. I think this plays into how the whole story is being reported on. But people are coming around and Johnny seems to be doing much better, which I'm very grateful for. It's all going to be alright.

Thanks for the links, PaulKemp. The last motion is essentially a gag order. Is there no limit to her audacity?
My guess is that she's running scared at what Adam Waldman has ready to release to the media and since her lawyer failed at getting the case moved and dismissed, this is an attempt to stop any future witness testimony or damaging evidence against her going public. Oh, heaven forbid her sparking reputation be tainted.
