My twitter feed just exploded again with lots of online articles reporting this as a new revelation and now proof he was lying all alone. It's in the title so everyone is clicking on it. My heart hurts :heart4:
My heart also hurts :tear: When the karma of Scum? :waiting:
I hope  no more people believe this Amber liar. :grr:

The response in itself, was pretty laid back and didn't really address many of the accusations and slurs thrown out there. I'm assuming nothing, legally, can be done about all the things they are saying, including private emails being published? I mean, they are saying some really harsh things...making him out to be a real low life. This is really defamation of character.
So far I've only seen The Hollywood Reporter with the added paragraph. None of the others I've checked have added Johnnys lawyers statement

I know for a face that Johnny has a HUGE young fan base. They're very active on social media, they're the reason he got a Teen Choice Award nomination.

These stories are irritating storms which blow up; hopefully soon to be replaced by tales of Glastonbury (some people will still be whingeing). I think the thing about his PR is that he has a very deliberate strategy which suits his personality. He did the same thing over his divorce and those allegations - which was to make a simple statement and not respond to each new thing - keep the message steady and truthful. We read every single thing about him but remember most people don't bother with any of this. I had a conversation with some colleagues who had been to see Pirates and had no idea who AH was - seriously - unaware of the Australia dog thing, DV allegations - the lot. Most of the people who read and believe or react negatively to these stories probably wouldn't see his films anyway. And the simple fact is that the emails do not answer the central parts of the case (and they also undermine earlier TMG assertions that he was aggressive and unreasonable. He seems pretty much as you'd expect him to be - perfectly approachable and friendly.) This is someone who had the worst mud thrown at him this time last year - remained true to himself and was rewarded with a People's Choice Award and international hit film.

I've been home sick recently and have been following twitter all day today and yesterday. People are voting. I am wondering if that is why this is all coming to light again, because this is the week to vote for the teen choice awards. If you can, vote 10 times per day.

Also, I've noticed allot of Johnny support tweets are starting up. I guess people comehome from work.

I totally agree. When I mention POTC to people they talk about the character Captain Jack Sparrow. They don't seem to be informed about Johnny's personal problems. If they have heard of his problems it does not affect their opinion of him. I think because we are fans we are sensitive to criticism of him. I also think his attorneys are telling him not to say anything about his current situation. Sometimes it is worse to try to explain things to the news media. They will twist words to fit what they want to say. Then, the more he tries to set the record straight the more they will twist his words. Sometimes it is just better to not say anything and hope that things will be resolved when the truth comes out.

I really, really recommend not reading the stuff. We cause ourselves heartache when we find something upsetting and there is nothing we can do, and these days it's so easy to get lost in a storm of tweets or tumblr nonsense and convince ourselves of the worst.

Yes, well said, fireflydances. I'm selective with reading current news about the case. The repetitive negativity isn't good for me, personally, since I, like all of us here, care very much for this good man and it deeply saddens me when mean people hurt the ones I love. I suspect that Johnny avoids as much of the negativity as he can as well. That explains why he lets his lawyers do the talking for him. Although, I wish they'd be more frequent with their responses.
Johnny's loyal fan base that is supporting him and using social media to publicly speak out for him is the one positive that we can all do. The louder we speak, the real truth will penetrate through the lies.
Ade's comment, "This is someone who had the worst mud thrown at him this time last year - remained true to himself and was rewarded with a People's Choice Award and international hit film." rings true.
For some, the award may be insignificant in the light of the recent news, but we know how important it was to Johnny. We clearly saw it in his eyes and in his emotional heartfelt response to his fans. And now voting for him for the Teen Choice Awards will further embed our loyalty and belief in a superb actor and kind, generous man.

Thank you fireflydances, Chocolate, and others who have offered wise words and comforting thoughts. They are much needed by many of us (me), and I am in total agreement with Johnny's team having his lawyers do any responding.

HOWEVER, I do strongly believe those responses should not be tacked on to the original piece as though they were nothing more than an afterthought. This has happened several times now and it is a clever ploy - no one ever sees the rebuttal. The comments from Johnny's attorneys have been pointed, well-written, and deserving of their own headline, with appropriate links provided by the rag, regardless of the length. Then, and only then, will Johnny's side have a chance of legitimate distribution - they will all pick it up, if only for more click-bait, but at least it will get out there. Johnny's team ought to be able to secure some kind of agreement in this regard, considering the return for the media.

There is a new story going around on twitter now how Johnny lied about bringing the dogs in, he knew he was in the wrong. The docs state he lied and blamed it in an assistant that he thought they filed the papers.....ok that's not important.

But, I am now wondering if this is the item that TMG is referring to how he lied to authorities over a legal manner involving a family member. She was the one who brought the dogs in, I thought he was already in Australia, so he was trying to cover and protect her.

My opinion

This is absurd. Many journalists still adoring Amber influencing people against Johnny and now TMG speak about she and dogs? I wonder if she's really kind of a witch? :mad2:

Depp and Heard were both on the plane to Australia with the dogs. There are photos of them and staff arriving. The photo seems to imply that a staff member was carrying a bag that most likely contained the dogs.
I consider everyone on the plane complicit including plane crew.
I have thought about why only Heard was charged. Maybe the dogs papers show that she was the owner and so was responsible for falsely ticking the No box on the quarantine form about bringing animals or animal parts. Maybe she was the person that quarantine officers spoke to after the dogs presence was revealed and her attitude rubbed officers the wrong way.

Nobody here was there to tell Johnny was complicit or dogs was really in the bag.
Oh my, I wonder, here is a fan site of Amber? :smh: :headache:
