I am with you hollyberry. I really loved Grindelwald's complete disregard for people's personal space - how physically close he got to them. Like you couldn't be sure if he'd kiss or kill. Could go either way!

 Yes, as in how he turns Spielman around in almost a lover's a embrace or a dance before throwing him out of the flying carriage! I hope we see him get closer to the sexy Vinda Rosier in the future - :flirt:

Greenlit means a project is officially a go,so all you have to do is follow these leads to stay up to date. You never know where you’ll find an opportunity to land an audition!

Fantastic Beasts 3
Johnny Depp returns as Gellert Grindelwald in the third instalment of Harry Potter spin-off franchise Fantastic Beasts along with Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski and, of course, Jude Law as the young Albus Dumbledore. Director and longtime J.K. Rowling collaborator David Yates is also confirmed, making this film his seventh in the Harry Potter world. Filming begins in 2020 and Backstage can take an educated guess that casting director Fiona Weir will soon be confirmed as attached and casting now.

I hope this is a reliable confirmation of Johnny’s participation; don’t know if it counts as an “official” one, though . . .

Seems as good of a confirmation as we're gonna get for a while. With everything being revealed these days, you can be sure that Johnny is not going anywhere. Thank god that JK, Yates and Heyman have been behind Johnny every step of the way.

Fantastic Beasts 3 cast, release date, plot and everything you need to know, Where to next, Dumbledore?

Note: Contains spoilers for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

It's fair to say that the Fantastic Beasts franchise hasn't yet lived up to the high standards set by Harry Potter.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them did OK with the critics and at the box office, but Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald disappointed fans and critics alike, recording the worst box office total of the entire series.

That hasn't stopped Warner Bros from continuing with the series after The Crimes of Grindelwald delivered a game-changing finale. Fans are in for a wait for the third movie though, so read on to find out everything we know about it so far.
Fantastic Beasts 3 release date: Eyes on 2021

Fantastic Beasts 3 looked set for release on November 20, 2020, continuing the pattern of the first film (November 2016) and its sequel (November 2018), but nothing had been confirmed.

However, it was then reported that production had been pushed back by Warner Bros from July 2019 to late autumn, while Warner Bros will now release Dune in that slot.

That doesn't mean the third movie has been delayed as it was never officially confirmed for 2020. It has now been officially set by Warner Bros for November 12, 2021, with filming due to start in spring 2020.

Star Dan Fogler said the change in date is because they needed "more time to prep" and Warner Bros has insisted that they know how to make the movie better, so that's nice.

Fantastic Beasts 3 cast: The further crimes of Grindelwald

So not everyone got through Crimes of Grindelwald unscathed as Leta Lestrange was tragically killed by Grindelwald after helping Newt and the others escape.

It's led some fans to speculate on how her sacrifice might have a greater meaning, but the fact is Zoë Kravitz probably won't appear in the third movie. Although that doesn't rule out any potential flashbacks as we still don't know much about her relationship with Newt.

Everyone else survived and so that means, alongside Johnny Depp who had already confirmed his return as Gellert Grindelwald, we can expect to see the likes of Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone, Callum Turner as Theseus Scamander and, of course, Jude Law as young Albus Dumbledore.

David Yates has said that he will return to direct Fantastic Beasts 3 (and the two remaining movies), making this his seventh movie in the Harry Potter world.

Fantastic Beasts 3 plot: Are we getting a Brazilian?

The five Fantastic Beasts movies will each be set in a different city across the world. So far we've had New York and Paris, and the third destination is yet to be revealed.

However, we may have a clue. JK Rowling revealed that her Twitter header photo is of Rio de Janeiro in the 1930s.

Not only is that an appropriate period for the series, but Rowling revealed, after misspelling the Brazilian city's name, that she should be able to spell it "given how many times I've written/typed it in the last few months".

That would have been when Rowling was working on the third film's script, which she finished working on in December 2018.

This also supports a possible clue she posted back in 2016.

Rowling wrote 'five' in five languages, one of which was 'cinco' which could be either in Spanish… or Portuguese, the official language of Brazil.

A 1930s setting would also suggest a sizeable time jump. The first Fantastic Beasts film was set in 1926, with Crimes of Grindelwald following shortly afterwards. As the fifth will allegedly wrap up in 1945, when Dumbledore defeated Grindelwald once and for all, these movies really need to get a move on!

When we left the Beasts characters in Crimes of Grindelwald, Credence and Queenie had sided with Grindelwald, while Newt has committed to fighting the dark wizard alongside his brother Theseus.

Dumbledore is working on breaking the blood pact that prevents him from confronting Grindelwald directly, while his former friend (and lover?) is planning to use Credence – who he has named as Dumbledore's long-lost brother, Aurelius – and his incredible powers to destroy Hogwarts' future headmaster.

Alison Sudol has already been busy defending Queenie's shocking turn to the dark side, saying she feels "betrayed" by Jacob and Newt.

All Rowling will say for now about the threequel is that "answers" will be given, although she didn't specify to which questions exactly, so that's super helpful.

As for the title, we're as much in the dark as you are right now. Unless you've been holding out on us, that is…

And Wit, was his vain frivolous pretence
Of pleasing others, at his own expense

A recent article from RadioTimes, dated October 14th, 2019, that states JD will return as “the main antagonist, Gellert Grindelwald - a dark wizard of great power.” Not much new since August, just confirmation of script completion and a lot of excitement surrounding it. Release date remains November 12th, 2021.

February, 2020, is certainly going to be a busy month for Johnny. Good thing it’s a Leap Year!

:loveshower:
Johnny Depp Confirmed To Return For Fantastic Beasts 3. by Michael Briers for We Got This Covered
Beyond Depp’s involvement, today’s news also confirms that franchise producer Steve Kloves co-wrote the Fantastic Beasts 3 screenplay with J.K. Rowling. The original plan was for Rowling to pen the script solo, following her screenwriting debut on The Crimes of Grindelwald, but news of Kloves coming on board is interesting in and of itself.

Warner Bros. also acknowledged the film’s prolonged production, with cameras now expected to start rolling in spring of next year, lending director David Yates and his team ample time ahead of the November 2021 launch date. In addressing the delay, series regular Dan Fogler stated: “The reason we were given is that the movie is bigger than the first two combined. They needed more time to prep and they didn’t want to rush anything.”

Look for Warner Bros.’ Fantastic Beasts franchise to return in November of 2021 with Johnny Depp in tow.

We "knew" it but it feels AMAZING to see it in an official WB press release. You have to wonder if there was ever any hint of truth to the "rumors" that WB was freaked out about the legal troubles.
