CITY OF LIES (LAbyrinth) Updates
Due to the nature of the storyline, this may have nothing to do with Johnny. Could be certain parties involved in the real story may have stopped it. :perplexed: Could be. Maybe it's even political, as the film suggests a strong distrust of the LAPD. At least at that time. But I'm hoping the studio...

CITY OF LIES (LAbyrinth) Updates
So we don't know exactly why it's been pulled I guess, but I glimpsed an article from maybe the Hollywood Reporter that seemed to assume it was due to Johnny's own 'bad publicity'. I didn't realize this Rocky person was suing not just Johnny, but the entire production? How did they end up with a loc...

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
The 2015 cut of London Fields is at 0% with 11 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Some of the reviews are funny but scathing. The last one by The Independent calls the film " car- crash filmmaking" and that all the performances are terrible except the good one by Johnny, who is uncredited. Johnny wa...

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
London Fields is supposed to be releasing soon You don't say? That situation seemed to be a hopeless mess, I'm pretty surprised it's going to be released? I guess whoever invested in it wants to get some of their money back, but at this point, seeing Johnny in the same movie w AH and Billy Bob Thor...

Interesting... Don't want to get my hopes up, but I'd love to see them work together again.Ade wrote: Hard to tell if the Terry Gilliam thing was separate or part of this or coincidence - but anyway - fingers crossed .....

Re: Hollywood Vampires--All the latest news
Anyone know why Bruce Witkin isn't with the band this time? :perplexed3: He toured last year. No, don't know about Bruce. For that matter, there's no Matt Sorum or Robert DeLeo either. I believe Glen Sobel is the only new member of the live band who has previous Vampire experience, think he's on th...

Re: WAITING FOR THE BARBARIANS--Updates, Reviews and Discussion
I saw Pattinson in a David Cronenberg movie from a few years ago, title escapes me, but he did a decent job, considering how intentionally disturbing and bizzare Cronenberg films generally are...

Re: WAITING FOR THE BARBARIANS--Updates, Reviews and Discussion
Yes the thought that this autumn we could get to see shots of Johnny on-set with Robert Pattinson inter-mingled with the FB2 premiere is just too delicious. Johnny's got a funny quote from the Dark Shadows junket about he and Tim wanting to do a vampire movie where the vampires didn't look like und...

Re: Hollywood Vampires--All the latest news
I wonder where things are at with a second album, as Alice mentions playing only 4 or 5 Vampire originals. Ideally they would put out the next album before they get very far into the tour, or at least have some new songs to play live, but I guess we'll see how it works out...

Re: CITY OF LIES (LAbyrinth) Updates
It's about 10 minutes in or so in the 48 min interview where Joe mentions Johnny asking him to contribute to the sound track and that he thinks the movie will be out in September. Interesting that Johnny would have that kind of say with a new director. Is he also a producer on LAbyrinth?

Re: CITY OF LIES (LAbyrinth) Updates
So the question is, does Johnny believe Poole had it right, and how aware is he of other possible scenarios such as Kading's? But regardless of the truth of the case, I'd be willing to bet that much of what drew Johnny to the role is the story of an LAPD investigator (Poole) who was convinced enough...

Re: CITY OF LIES (LAbyrinth) Updates
Guess I'd have to concur that February doesn't seem likely for this movie due to the absence of any trailers or promotion. Seems much more likely Sherlock Gnomes will be out first, followed by who knows what. This may have come up earlier in this thread, but apparently Poole's theories about LA poli...

Re: CITY OF LIES (LAbyrinth) Updates
According to IMDB, the US release date for LAbrynth is Feb. 7,2018. I find that hard to believe and hope it's incorrect, to be honest. Hasn't it been scheduled for early 2018 for awhile now? It would make sense in terms of when it was shot. I guess I'm missing what's hard to believe and o...

Re: THE PROFESSOR (Richard Says Goodbye) Updates
So it sounds as though Johnny will be reprising his role as this is part of a trilogy - Katie Says Goodbye, Richard Says Goodbye - then the two characters come together for the last of the three. Sounds heavenly. Apart from the fact that these sound like such wonderful projects in themselves, I am ...

Re: THE PROFESSOR (Richard Says Goodbye) Updates
I think it's Beaver Lake in Stanley Park. There are lots of swans and other wildlife in Stanley Park. It would likely be warm-ish water as it's been hot in Vancouver for quite a few weeks now. Looks lovely, seem to be a few beavers in Beaver Lake too! Glad it's been hot there as far as getting in t...
