Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I don't understand that either. It doesn't really make sense for Amber to release it, it doesn't help her case at all. Laura sounds like she's scared of upsetting Amber and has been telling Amber she was pressured to give a declaration, so her friend / boss wouldn't be mad at her. Maybe Laura is a v...

Agreed, people should leave their pitchforks at home for this...AdeleAgain wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 7:49 amUnfortunately she got booed and shouted at when she arrived today. I wish people wouldn't do that. Best way to deal with her is resounding silence.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
That's so cute  So I'm reading along on Twitter again and it seems Ms Wass is reciting almost the entire witness statement that Isaac Baruch made and periodically asking "is this true?". Why is nobody stopping her? All the witnesses are required to verify what they said in the statement is tru...

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
My understanding is that David Sherborne doesn't have to take the incidents in chronological order - I think Wass did so to build a momentum, show increasingly out of control behaviour etc. But given that there was one incident she didn't question JD on (and therefore Sherborne couldn't) I presume ...

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
https://twitter.com/nickwallis/status/1283870177558507521 Does anyone know why next Thursday and Friday are in square brackets? Does that mean the dates are preliminary and could be pushed back if Amber's testimony takes more time (as did Johnny's)? So next Friday might not be "the final deadline f...

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Ok. I have been reading Nick Wallis twitter feed since the trial started. He says that he will only be there Friday, Monday, and possibly part of Tuesday. Does anyone know if anyone else in London is tweeting this trial? I would really hate to miss AH on the stand. I'm also hoping for someone else ...

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I'm sure she will be well prepared, but let's see how it goes over the whole three days... Also, it's not just about appearing sympathetic. Her evidence has to line up, and so far there are just a lot of holes in her accusations and no convincing facts.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
But on body language I know the bit you mean about smirking - but I do think there is a difference. AH literally smirked and eye rolled at hearing/discussing hitting him. He did the classic embarrassed, self deprecating smile when he spoken about lying to protect her. It doesn't matter, it's facts ...

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
 He doesn't look 57 for sure. It's amazing how he aged backwards since they split up (or - putting it in a less positive way - how unwell he looked during the marriage). The people I talked to in person also told me Amber doesn't seem to be a genuine person, her testimonies don't seem believeab...

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
That's interesting, what made NGN ever think they would get Winona or Vanessa to say he hit them? And again, I'm still confused why they didn't summon Kate. She's most associated with his "wild child" phase. In the car he held the dog out of the window and made other comments about the dog/microwave...

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
The confusion continues: Johnny's legal team wants to call it quits early (2:30 London time) / adjourn to tomorrow. So much for making up for lost time?

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Reading through the witness statements Winona and Vanessa made, I think it was the right decision to move on without hearing them. It would have been another day of Ms Wass asking "Did he take cocaine? But he did take cocaine! You're lying about the cocaine! Did he take ecstasy? Yes he did! You're l...

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Maybe JD's team was keeping Winona and Vanessa last for a reason and not really planning to use them unless they thought it was necessary. I had that thought as well! Winona especially. Vanessa and their relationship/kids were brought up by the Sun, so it made more sense for her to testify. I reall...

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I think they were just not summoned for cross-examination, but their witness statements are still valid. The way I'm reading it, NGN didn't file the correct paperwork to question Winona and Vanessa if Johnny said he didn't want to hear them. Mr. Sherborne for Johnny is quoted by Nick on Twitter in r...
