Re: PR newspaper El Vocero reports on the Birthday Project

Although this is a lovely article about our Birthday Project, I did want to correct one glaring inaccuracy. I am not, nor have I ever been in charge of the Birthday Project. My job has always been to assist Part-Time Poet in the day-to-day running of the Zone. I had no idea that my inquiries for in...

Re: 2009 Birthday Project Update--good news!

I tried to donate. I hope it worked because of my issues with the credit card. :hope: Isn´t that much like I was able to give last year, but at least something and I´ll see how the next month will be. We can donate till 9th June, till Johnnys birthday. If I´m able, I´ll give next month again. :hear...

Re: 2009 Birthday Project Update--good news!

I'm so proud of all the Zoners...even when the economy is so bad, the generous members of the Zone step up and give from the heart.

Re: Announcing the Zone's 2009 Birthday Project!

I really really want to give a doantion, but how do I convince my parents the PayPal site is safe :-/ ? That's a hard one to answer, MovieFan. I use PayPal all the time and I believe it's very safe -- but perhaps if they were willing, you could get your parents to mail a check directly to the Found...

Re: Announcing the Zone's 2009 Birthday Project!

Is this tax deductible? Sorry if it was already mentioned--I looked but didn't see. This is a tax-deductible charity, donnamatrix. If you require a receipt for tax purposes, you'll need to mail your donation directly to the Foundation's address. Although we do keep a list of who has given and what ...

Re: Announcing the Zone's 2009 Birthday Project!

When I followed the link given in part-time poet's announcement and I clicked to look at pictures of the hospital, I got a warning that the website was a "reported attack site", one that steals personal information. :-? I certainly hope that was an error! Every now and then I've gotten that warning...

Pac-Man was the "hot" game when I was younger, so this one is particularly fun for me.

:applause2: Thanks again Theresa, those are fun too. You know hand-eye coordination is a lot harder than it sounds. Live in Depp Boo Such easy little games...ha! Maybe for the kids - who still have speedy reflexes. For the rest of us, it just takes a bit longer.

Re: How to quote only a part of message??

moonbeam -- if all you're trying to do is NOT quote the embedded picture, you can just do a regular quote of the person's post and then just delete the image link, or you can change the [ img ] and [ /img ] in the quoted link to [ link ] and [ /link ]. That will turn the quoted picture into a Click...
