THE PROFESSOR (Richard Says Goodbye) Updates

Just finished watching... nothing bad to say about it. It felt emotionally true, deep, and if the script was somehow lacking, I didn't notice, because Johnny is so present and real and powerful, just a gem of a being... no complaints about any of the other actors either. Danny Huston is definitely a...

Re: Hollywood Vampires--All the latest news

It looks like "Who's Laughing Now" can be purchased already, either going through the Vampires' site (under "latest news"), or probably right through Amazon. This album looks killer, just looking at the song titles is a rush. So cool that John Waters shows up on one of the tracks too.

The Lawsuits Thread

I don't know if this belongs in this thread, but I came across this video today which seems to be another sign of the tide turning in Johnny's favor concerning the AH accusations situation... looks like quite a few similarly themed videos have been popping up as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

The Lawsuits Thread

I remember reading that Gina's injuries were attributed to a go-cart accident. During filiming in Australia, Johnny was living at the compound of a famous race car driver who has a go-cart track on the premises. But of course that could have been a cover story. I realize this is just one aspect of ...

Looks like a beautiful locale for filming, just across from Italy on the eastern side of the Adriatic Sea.

CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD Reviews and Discussion (Spoilers)

I went to see this last night... Not only was I blown away by the film itself, but I highly recommend seeing the 3D version for those that can deal with 3D. It seemed completely appropriate for such a magic heavy movie. MIND BLOWING. Johnny is otherworldly as Grindewald. I'm not going to bother offe...

FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD Updates

Whatever the upheavals in his private life, Depp is still a consummate screen actor. His portrayal of Grindelwald rekindles memories of his old mentor, Vincent Price, in some of his more outré roles. White haired, softly spoken and with very pale skin, he dresses in black and looks from a distance ...

Re: Johnny to star in McAfee biopic "King of the Jungle"? No.

I don't know what kind of relationship, if any, Johnny and Michael Keaton may have (2 guys that have figured so much into Tim Burton's filmography- have they ever met?), but if I was in Keaton's shoes, I think I'd pass on this on Johnny's behalf. I don't know what exactly McAfee's idea of a "tough g...

Re: MINAMATA Updates

Sounds like maybe Johnny's pursuing a bit more autonomy in the world of film and "digital content"? I know Infinitum Nihil is not new, but this international partnership the article mentions is. Avoiding going through Hollywood as much as possible sounds like a good tack. Terry Gilliam's been gettin...

Zurich Interview with Johnny--Collider.com

I was moved by Johnny's explanation of Edward's vision of death, “he didn’t wake up”, meaning that death doesn't exist in Edward's mind. Johnny changing that line exemplifies his unique creativity, with making a character his own, early on in his career that continues to this day. That really caugh...

RICHARD SAYS GOODBYE Reviews and Discussion (Spoilers)

I'd still like to see this, but I certainly don't like the sound of the reviews, especially when they say "it's a far fresher performance from Johnny than we've seen in years", and then go on to explain why the film is terrible. It makes the absence of City Of Lies all the more painful. At least the...

Re: THE PROFESSOR (Richard Says Goodbye) Updates

Glad this movie is premiering somewhere. The tone with which it's mentioned in the Waiting For The Barbarians thread just sounds like more of the anti-Depp machine droning on. I echo justintime's sentiments from that thread: Will we even get to see this in the U.S.? Nothing seems like a sure thing a...
