Thanks! I think he's really cute, too - but I cannot say that in front of anyone - it's a secret!

OK, here's my stab at it:
A Trustworthy Tobias treads lightly with Mrs. Lovett, but then rudely rips the ripper.

my my Liz what a fine pirate you make any dog in the background?!!
do good intentions count? I had planned on going to the cheap theatre to see DMC (again!) but as I am on my own without any DH or Dkids I laid down for a nap and woke up just in time for it to still be Hallowe'en and ended up watching The Rocky Horror Picture Show on the comfort of my own sofa!
as I live in an adult apt. complex there are no trick or treaters so I'd really like to dress up next year and go out with my neices (6 and 4) and nephew (1) perhaps I can co-op them into my crew and together we can be a motley crew of desperate pirates - we could turn my nephew's little red wagon into a mini Black Pearl - what say you

I may return for some righteous repartee later...
My ad agency celebrates Halloween every year and most people do dress for the occasion… usually some high concept, oh-so-clever costume wins the contest. Not this year. This year it was your ol’Captian Jack. Yes, that’s me… 8:00am-in-the-morning-with-no-caffeine-yet, me.
So for you purists, the sash is on the wrong side and so are the scarf-top beads (fixed after coffee), and no item of clothing is quite the right color or proportion—it didn’t matter. Put a little facial hair on a woman and you unnerve everyone... even your best friends, as I found out later that night. Although a little trick or treater who encountered me out and about screamed with delight: “Look mommy, a pirate.”

Thanks, DepplySmitten.
And I say Aye!, Lizbet. Go for it. I think we have at least one more good year to keep the pirate theme going.

Great costume, Dharma! I know what you mean here. It's weird to get a taste of what it's like to be him.
