Fan-Tan by Marlon Brando, Donald Cammell, David Thomson (Editor)
Has anyone read this? I saw it at the public library this afternoon, read the first couple of pages, and put it back on the shelf. Should I have checked it out?

Hi fansmom,
I did check it out, read a few pages and gave it back. Just did not interest me at the time.

Fascinating reviews on amazon.com--from "terrific" to "worst novel ever"!

I also checked it out awhile ago and did the same thing..read a few pages and sent it back. Not good at all. IMHO, I would not recommend it.

I also borrowed it and I read the first one and a half chapters but couldn't stand the character, far too up himself.Far too concerned with that part of his anatomy that men I guess are ,but I don't need to read about it.

I read about a third of it and found it boring. It reads like a book that's been cobbled together and that's what it is.....published to cash in on Brando's aura..It's really pathetic. It tries to be erotic but it's plain, boringly stupid..Hope that helps fansmom

Thanks, everyone! Your opinions agree with my brief glance at it at the library. I don't believe I'll be checking it out when I go again.
