Happy Monday nite back atcha!
Wow! I think it's so cool that you guys met up in San Fran. I have spent a lot of time there. I would love to see the scroll, but I doubt that's going to happen. And I haven't met anyone from here on a road trip, but that would be very cool. Maybe someday.
I went up to Lowell for some kind of ceremony in the early 1980s and unfortunately, my frame of mind was such that I don't remember a lot of what happened on that trip except personal stuff.
I first went to City Lights in the mid-70s. Lawrence Ferlinghetti was a real trip and he recommended books, so I bought a few. DH and I went and visited again in 1986 on our honeymoon, and that time he recommended a lot of books and we had to ship them home because we bought so many. So I have a lot of Kerouac, Burroughs, poetry by everyone, Kesey, Ginsburg, Carl Sandberg, Gregory Corso, Ferlinghetti signed editions. I also bought a bunch of Herman Hesse there. And I have had coffee at Vesuvio, but they have moved twice I believe since then.
