Below is an article on Perfume, the movie:
Thanks to Charlene for sending this scan to me from Premier Magazine, March 2006. It is not clear if the movie is completed or not. Note: Just a touch of the article is cut off to the right, but I think you will be able to complete the words.
Should be interesting….

Thank you Liz and neophyte. I've never read the book, I can't quite remember was Johnny being considered for this film, or was he just a big fan of the book? Neophyte that trailer was pretty creepy... I liked it.

Hey DITHOTbaba, thanks for that. I think I'll have to add this one to my list of books to buy. I'm getting behind on my reading, I've got to shape up. Right now I'm reading, both the Hand of Dante (Nick Tosches, very heady...but interesting), and Depp (Christopher Heard) for obvious reasons right now Depp has been getting a lot more time. D**n that JDOCD, gets me everytime.

Hey, Boo, when you get through Dante, can you explain it to me? LOL. I made my way through it, and even attempted a second go, but gave up....I'm just not into self-torture.

I loved this book..I've also read it twice Carasun..I suppose I was fascinated by his hyper-sensitivity to smell..a common characteristic of Asperger people..[My friend has a super sensitive nose, she can't abide any sort of perfume or air-freshners e.t.c...The car accident we had in her car,she has put down to visiting a company for some gardening products just before the accident...it effected her so much]..I was that Johnny would do this film..Thanks for the updates.. .

Fascinating book! Thanks for the heads up, Liz.
It reads Alan Rickman! How did I miss that? Oh my, Alan Rickman in Perfume.

I read Perfume awhile back and loved it. Very creepy. And there are some scenes that I can't imagine them putting in a film ~ should be interesting.
BTW, I couldn't get the trailer to play either.

I have bought it but not read it yet, but the blurb made me think it was the sort of creepy book that would appeal to him. He seems to like plot twists, doesn't he.
