On the Road

Unread postby Anna » Fri Aug 26, 2005 9:45 am

Sorry if this is old news but I read today that On the road is going to be made into a film with Francis Ford Coppola as producer and possibly Walter Salles (The Motorcycle Diaries) as the director. As actors Brad Pitt is being mentioned as Dean Moriarty and Billy Crudup as Sal Paradise.

Edit: found several articles on the Internet about it. Apparently this is news in the NL this week . Many articles in English date from August 8. Here's one:

I have heard the news about Stiles as the director. Having seen Motorcycle Diaries I think he will be a great choice. There have been numerous casting rumors. It will be interesting to see if this movie finally gets made!

Wow! What a ride!

I think Billy Crudup would be great as Sal Paradise.

Not sure about BP as Dean, but I suppose he was pretty good as Tylor Durden in Fight Club (similar character, amoral) so maybe. I just didn't think Dean looked like that!
Work hard, learn well, and make peace with the fact that you'll never be as cool as Johnny Depp. GQ.
