I was just wondering, is this book club an actual book club of Johnny Depp's, or is it the site's?

Hello there MrFugelson! The book club is affiliatated with this site, not directly with Johnny Depp. We would certainly welcome any input from the previously mentioned Mr. Depp. We read and discuss books related to Johnny's movies, production company or books that he has mentioned in interviews that he thought were a good read. Check out our sticky at the top of the board titled "Why These Books" and you will see why we have chosen our previous titles. You can also check out our archives board for previous discussions. Hope you will join us in one of our discussions!

Thanks DIDOT for posting the calendar, I can see I had better get cracking and get hold of the books - I have become a little sidetracked in my reading at the moment, so missed the current book, I Fatty ....

F&LV is a fairly short book, at least in comparison to some we have read. You have plenty of time!

Even though I've already read FLILV, I think I'll try to reread it and join in on this discussion

I just took a trip over to this forum and WHAm. I saw the NEW calendar! Thanks for posting DITHOT! I can't wait for the FALILV discussion, that book is a work of genius. (not to mention its hilarious..... )

ALWD, I have not read, so I think I'll get a jump start after I finish my summer reading list for school....*coughs* which is One flew over the cuokoo's (sp?) nest and things they carried......:)

So I'm looking forward to these great reads! :)

You can't judge a book by its cover.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.

Oh boy, DITHOT and Liz, I'm back in town and in plenty of time to get F&L read in time for the discussion! I was away from my computer for the last 6 weeks, and reading the off-topic The Bounty, which I loved, and highly recommend. But now I am delighted to be back home and able to participate in one of the ONBC discussions again. Thanks for all your good work.

Hello there, srt! Welcome back to cyberspace! :zoner: I'm glad you will be able to join us for F&LILV. I just picked up a copy of The Bounty myself, glad to hear you liked it.

I'm new at this, so I was just wondering.... how come the calendar may change due to Johnny's schedule?

We like to keep our options open in case a new book comes along that we had not already scheduled. So far we have kept to our announced schedules. If we were to change the calendar we would always go back to a previously announced book at a later date.
