Ex-stuntman turned private investigator, David Spandau is a hard-nosed champion of setting things right with a soft spot for the ladies. His beat is Hollywood’s seamier side, where bad things happen to the good and the not-so-good.

If you like your detective cases straight up with of twist of wit, Spandau’s your man. As Daniel puts it himself, “The Spandau series is my slightly skewed and ongoing homage to Hammett, Chandler and all the classic noir novels that made me want to write in the first place.”

Please join us for #3 in the ongoing noir series by Daniel Depp. It promises to be a captivating read and fun discussion.

For more info on the book, check out Daniel’s website:

The book is available online at Amazon.

Yesterday morning I had been looking at a cookbook but I didn't want to order because of shipping; last night I could order the two books with free shipping and use some Visa rewards points to cut down the cost further. Mr Spandau is on his way to me! :bounce:

I would strongly suggest that if you have the time, read the first 2 before you read Devil's Dance.

You can also review our prior discussions (below) on the first two books if you want to familiarize yourself with the characters and their history (specifically Anna, Dee and Jurardo).

Loser's Town

Babylon Nights

I think this book can stand on its own, though, without having read the other two.
You can't judge a book by its cover.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.

:ok:

I've read some of the previous discussions for the contests and the books interested me then, but I couldn't find them anywhere locally.

Now I've got all three ordered and I should have them shortly. :omg:
The online reviews have been mostly favorable for all three.

Hey Snoop, I've really enjoyed all 3. And I'm not really into mystery series. I just like Daniel's writing and the way he weaves a tail. I also like his characters.

I am also looking forward to it. I have ordered the German and the English edition.
I have to wait four weeks for the book in English.

I second that! Great, memorable characters. Love David Spandau. Getting exciting to see folks come on board for this one. All fun, all thrills and laughs.
Hey reindeermoon!! :girlwave2: Good to see you here!
