Unread postby moviemom » Fri Nov 18, 2011 3:00 pm

Just wanted to share, since we discussed this book last year. Ann Crispin won an award for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Price of Freedom.

Her first award that recognizes her writing! First place too. :toastingpirates:

That's really terrific! :bounce: Ann did a wonderful job with The Price of Freedom and it enjoyed it more than any book I've read in a long time. A well deserved award to be sure. :toastingpirates:

Many Congrats to Ann! :notworthy:

Thank you, moviemom, for making us aware of this.
You can't judge a book by its cover.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.

Well done An,and deservedly so - this was an excellent book, and I rather think you should be considered for writing or co writing the script for the next 'Pirates' film, if there is one! Congrats!

I am so pleased to learn that Ann won the award. Writing a book like TPOF, where she had to follow so many constraints, and still be fresh and creative was a difficult undertaking. The end result was marvelous!

I noticed on her Facebook page she said this is the first award she has ever received for her writing! Congratulations!

Thank you all so much for the congratulatory words! I am thrilled, and surprised. It's not often a tie-in book (work for hire) gets any recognition. But I worked every bit as hard on that book, as I did many of my original novels!

Thank you again!
