Unread postby Lucky13 » Tue Mar 10, 2009 8:03 pm

It appears that Public Enemies by Bryan Burrough is going to release a new edition on April 28, 2009. It is called the "Movie Tie In Edition".

Click the link below... Hopefully Amazon.com will soon have this as well.

Thanks for the info Lucky13!
I'll be interested to read that and see how it compares with the original PE (which I couldn't put down).

Thanks for the tip, Lucky13! It will be interesting to see what changes or additions have been made.

Wow! Sounds like an interesting book....and what a good price. Thanks for the heads up, Lucky13.
You can't judge a book by its cover.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.

You're most welcome Noodlemantra's !! :grouphug: Not sure how I found this... I was trying to locate a hardcover copy for a friend. I'm curious to see if the cover will change since the current one "isn't available." :perplexed:

They have some on ebay Lucky 13. I also searched on Amazon for the ISBN #0143115863, and they have it available for pre-order for $10.88. They do say that the picture they use is of a book that is not available at this time. (the original book)

Sorry to bother the Loser's Town discussion but I couldn't resist to post.
My friend, lotte, told me that the movie tie in edition will be available on April 29 in Amazon Japan. And they have a very nice cover picture!!!

Since it has exactly the same pages (624 pages) of the original edition, I'm sadly assuming that there shall not be any additionals.
To buy or not to buy... that is the question. :perplexed:

I’m sure there will be a market for it with the movie coming out. And it’s a nice souvenir copy. Thanks for the heads up GAO. And feel free to interrupt our discussions at any time when you have Johnny book news.

I emailed the author to check on added content. It in only a new, and may I say GORGEOUS, cover but no new material.

The cover looks great, it'd be a nice copy to have despite the lack of new material.

Public Enemies Paperback (with Johnny on the cover)

Unread postby ForeverinmyheartJD » Tue Jun 16, 2009 12:55 pm

I didn't see this posted elsewhere - if it is - my apologies.

Just wanted to send a quick post to let you all know that while shopping in Costco the other night (Bellingham, WA), much to my surprise in the book section was Bryan Burrough's Public Enemies book with Johnny on the cover (hat/trenchcoat picture from the movie poster). (Big thanks to my hubby for spotting it) ;-)
Needless to say I bought one. :bounce: Had to borrow the book from the library last year to read it and always wanted a copy. Nice keepsake since Johnny is on the cover! Noted at the top of the cover is "The New York Times Bestseller - Now a major motion picture from Universal Pictures. (sorry - I still haven't learned to post pictures or I would).

Hope some of you can find this little treasure.

Wishes do come true - Captain Jack is back!

Well at least now you all know it is out there and available and you have the cover picture now too.
