I certainly do not get much peace in my house on Halloween --but if I had my way, I'd choose to watch consecutively:1-From Hell 2-POTC COBP and 3-Secret Window Great question PtP

The Ninth Gate is an interesting choice, GG--especially if you live in a house with no youngsters about. I think there are probably quite a few Zoners who see Corso as a fine companion for a Halloween evening.

I like to watch Ed Wood around Halloween....just the black and white/film noir/B-Horror Movie feel, I think.
And, of course, I adore Martin Landau as Bela!

I like the idea of pairing Sleepy Hollow with Corpse Bride...for a fun Halloween evening. But for a fright or two, I think I'd have to pick A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Oh, yes, yes,yes -- how could I forget that one especially since it's going to be on tv here at least twice this weekend -- great suggestion!

Here I go being contrary....but, I think of the kids and candy...and WILLY!! I usually dress as a witch..and have my trusty hand puppet...a tiny witch..a witchette?? as my helper in giving out candy. But, I did dress as CATCF Willy one year and gave out Wonka candy!! What fun that was!! So, I think of CATCF.

I was thinking this year to go with Sweeney Todd. All the suggestions are great, so I might need to watch one each night for that whole week to really capture the mood.

Yeah, this year is definitely a Sweeney Halloween.
You know, the last day it's listed as a Pay Per View on my cable is Halloween. Then the HBO website says it premieres on Nov 8! So even though we have the dvd, there's something about it being on TV right NOW that makes me watch.

Last year I paired Sleepy Hollow with one of my all time favorite non-Johnny movies - Beetle Juice. Directed by Tim Burton and starring Winona Ryder, you could almost, possibly, stretch it to say that it's somewhat, sort-of, Johnny-related? Ok, not really. But in any case, this year it's definately going to be ST. Throat slashing, blood splashing and bones crashing... can a Halloween movie get any better? Oh yeah... meat pies. It's this year's winner in my book! Maybe next year I'll revisit Elm St. That was one of my fav's as a teenager.

I agree emjaytee, there is something about Johnny's movies being on TV that make them a "must watch" thing and sometimes even more exciting (even if you've seen the movie 10 x ) I also had noticed HBO is putting ST on after Halloween--and I was I thought it would be perfect to watch it on/prior to 31st and have a Happy Hallo-Sween
