It's a very unusual story. The protagonist is definitely creepy. However, it is written beautifully.
You can't judge a book by its cover.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.

Just saw the teaser trailer and I must say that that was pretty creepy! I'm so ready to see this film now. Thanks for sharing that.

Thanks Teresa ~ I could see the trailer. Totally creeped me out though!

Don't thank me for that creepy video, Liz -- it's all Neophyte's doing!

And I had to watch it several times when I was converting it. Yikes!

:baby: That was scary, especially if you have read the book. Thanks, (I think) theresa! The only downside I see is Grenouille is too nice looking compared to the character in the book. I wonder who did the music? It certainly added a major sense of creepiness! :freaked: This is going to be one weird movie! :fear:

I generally try to avoid creepy films, but this is a must-see. It was such an interesting book and a great discussion about it. Thanks for the information!

Hey Charlene, (sorry for the late reply), but of course when I'm done we can have a chat.

That looks really great. It was such an amazing book. One of my favourites. I thought if Johnny liked it and Kurt Cobain liked it, it has to be good. And it really was amazing. I am looking forward to the film. Thanks for the links and the likes, ladies.

I just finished reading Shantaram today. I'm sad I didn't own the novel during the discussion of it here. But it was really great. I love how many novels Johnny has opened my eyes too. That was an amazing book.
