Q&A with Kathryn Leigh Scott begins....

Unread postby Liz » Fri May 11, 2012 1:25 pm

Good Evening, Noodlemantras (well it’s evening in London),

If you have a thirst for blood……Maggie’s, Angelique’s or Barnabas’s, this is where you might find it quenched……

In celebration of the opening of Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows, DITHOT and I will begin our Q&A with Kathryn Leigh Scott.

Here is the first Q&A. Thank you, Kathryn, for your graciousness:

ONBC: Kathryn, we saw your lovely pictures from the premiere in Hollywood! That must have been so exciting! Tell us about your experience.

Kathryn: Great fun! How wonderful that David, Lara and I could attend together. We saw it as a celebration of our show that has had such an amazing impact on popular culture.

Check out Kathryn’s pics from the premiere on her blog:

A video of the premiere:

And, last but not least, her thoughts about DS 2012:

You can't judge a book by its cover.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.

I am so excited that we are finally under way! I have missed all the Noodlemantras! even if I see some of them on other threads. This is such a special corner of the Zone! :grouphug:

I am glad to know that Kathryn approves of the new movie and Johnny's portrayal of Barnabas. It must be very gratifying to be part of something so enduring, and yet be able to see it go on into new phases of its existence as if it were a living breathing entity.

I sure think it's pretty cool. And I loved the movie. I really think Tim and Johnny did it justice. Can't wait to see it again.

It looks like they had a lot of fun at the premiere.

I was hoping for a longer cameo on the movie itself, but it was nice to see the original cast arrive to the party.

:highfive:
I wonder how many people will even know that was them? It went by so quickly.
If I hadn't been reading her book, I might have missed it myself.
Oh well, that's show biz.

I was hoping for a longer cameo too. I was kicking myself afterward, because just before the ball I wanted to reach across my friend and tell her sis on the other side of her (who was a big DS fan in the day) that she needed to watch for Kathryn et al. But I chose not to, assuming that my friend had already briefed her. She had not briefed her sis, even though she knew they would be in it because she read the book too. So her sis totally missed them coming through the door. Now the poor thing  will have to see it again. I don't think she'll mind. She loves DS and Johnny. But I really regret I didn't listen to my gut and tell her.

I thought there might be a fan reaction in the theater, like applause or something, when they entered the house. But the cameo was so short, I didn't have time to start clapping. If you blink, you miss it.
