From Wikipedia--
Irwin Allen Ginsberg (June 3, 1926 – April 5, 1997) was an American poet. Ginsberg is best known for the poem Howl (1956), celebrating his friends of the Beat Generation and attacking what he saw as the destructive forces of materialism and conformity in the United States at the time.

I went to see the Kerouac scroll here in Austin and along with it they were showing off their extensive collection of Beat memorabilia. There were many photos and letters from Ginsberg, I was quite impressed with the collectionm, I didn't realize how extensive it is. Happy Birthday, Allen.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -
Wow! What a ride!
