As usual I'm late, however, I really enjoyed reading everyone's stories.
This year I'm excited because for the first time in 8 years we are going back to the UK, to my parents, for Christmas. I usually can't get time off work - but this year I put my foot down - as I am an only child and therefore my daughter is the only grandchild to my parents, so they really miss out if we don't go.

Meanwhile, one of our Christmas traditions is making chocolate truffles for my daughters teachers and friends. Needless to say, we have the Chocolat theme playing in the background. It's great fun, really messy and by the end even a chocaholic like me cannot bear the sight of chocolate (well - unless it's that gorgeous picture of Roux sipping hot chocolate!)

I can't wait til Friday - fingers crossed that there will be no fog or snow here or in the UK so that we have a good journey!
And I wish all of you zoners a wonderful Christmas - with a special thought for those who will be spending Christmas away from their loved ones.

Peachy, I'm glad you posted. Sometime the Monday Night Thread can go on all week.

I'm very impressed that you make truffles. I've never known anyone who made their own. I would think that it would be a very complicated process.
