ONBC Sunday Night Thread - Alliteration Game

Unread postby Liz » Sun Sep 11, 2005 8:08 pm

Good evening, Noodlemantras. I'm going to post and run to work a bit on dinner and help the daughter with homework. Here is our Sunday Night Thread for this week.

This is a game we played back when we were discussing Shantaram. I asked you to describe, using an alliteration*, the following: Shantaram--the book, a character in Shantaram, or a place in Shantaram. Here are some examples from that thread.

This one aplies to Prabaker

Hilarious,happy,heady

Or rather Karla

Mystifying,magical,mischievous

Intensely, impassioned India

Perpetually peppy Prabaker

*Alliteration: a poetic or literary effect achieved by using several words that begin with the same or similar consonants, as in “Whither wilt thou wander, wayfarer?”

What we are going to do today and as long as you keep it going is think up alliterations to describe any or all of the following: F&LILV--the book or movie, a character in F&LILV, or a place in F&LILV.... or the Good Doctor, himself.

Here is my alliteration for the book: freaky, fearful and fun

Have fun.
You can't judge a book by its cover.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.

Kristen, I hoped you'd show up for this. You gave us quite a few last time if I remember correctly. Where've you been? I imagine school is keeping you busy.

Hey there, Liz  I do love this game, thanks  - but it looks like Lumi is on the roll tonight

I have been busy - BUT - you'll be proud to know that during my study halls, I sit and read F&L in a sunny corner of the library everyday :) I've already seeked out all the Hunter material they have, and am planning on reading Rum Diaries soon ... :capnjack:
