HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY, ONBC - More on the contest....

Unread postby Liz » Mon Nov 01, 2010 3:03 am

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Noodlemantra’s!

ONBC began its first discussion exactly 7 years ago to the minute (Two Past Midnight to be exact). The story was Secret Window, Secret Garden, a short story by Stephen King also referred to as Two Past Midnight in his book of 4 short stories entitled Four Past Midnight.

DITHOT and I bought the ticket, and we took the ride. And wow! What a ride! Thanks to Johnny for his inspiration and interest in books and to you guys for your knowledge, wit and insight. It’s all because of you Noodlemantras that we are still here reading and chatting. We hope you keep coming back for another 7 years to share your opinions, insights, and stories.

:ONBC:

We will be celebrating our birthday with a CONTEST. ALL ZONERS are eligible to participate. We’re not ready to divulge the rules just yet. Drop by at 6:00 p.m. PT (8:00 CT/9:00 ET) today, Monday, November 1,for contest instructions. You will have 48 hours from that time to enter.

See you then……

Well, dang it. This is the first time I didn't get it done exactly at 2 past midnight. My computer is a minute off. Grrrrrr. I noticed I posted too soon, and couldn't delete and repost quick enough. :bawl: Not a good sign. :-/
You can't judge a book by its cover.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.

In the middle of the Giants/Rangers game too. I seem to be time challenged today. :waiting: :perplexed:

Yes you do...plenty of time to second guess yourself...
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -
Wow! What a ride!
