Fabulous Anniversary Contest Prize!

Unread postby nebraska » Sun Dec 02, 2007 7:57 pm

For third place in the 4th anniversary contest I received a double-wirebound notebook to record my thoughts.........the front cover has the ONBC logo. It is really a top quality notebook and so much more than I expected for a lowly third place! When I looked at the answers and realized how much I had missed, I really felt unworthy.

Once again our fearless leaders have outdone themselves! Thanks to Liz and DITHOT for all they do here, and for a really mind-numbing anniversary quiz, and for providing a very nice prize.

And a very gracious and appreciative one too. :disco:

Thats sound very nice Nebraska. I thanked Dithot and Liz but I might as well describe my gift as well so you ladies can appreciate it. Its a book marker but made in the styly of Johnnys beaded jewelry. I told Liz its so pretty I hate to use it.
I might use it when I take a book to jury duty just to show off a bit.

Your bookmark sounds wonderful... congratuations!!!!!!!

I asked Liz about posting and she said "go ahead." Hopefully, even more ONBC-ers will participate in the future when they know what great prizes Liz and DITHOT come up with!

Depp: It's true. I don't sing along to music.
Q: "Brown Sugar" comes on …
Depp: I might sing a little harmony. I might air guitar. Drumming. I like to drum.

Well, you asked me not to say anything until everyone had received their prizes, so I kept mum. Now that others have posted, I will too.

My gift certificate arrived Friday, and I already used it to order the Sweeney Todd soundtrack.

Thank you so much; was astonished at your generosity, and SOOO glad I could have a meaningful remembrance.

The Zone and ONBC really mean a lot to me, and I'm grateful to you for all of your efforts.

When I listen to Johnny sing, I'll be thinking of you. (Didn't Liberace have a song like that?)
I'll buy you the hat....a really big one.

I don't know about the Liberace song, stroch but I do know I can't wait to get my hands on the Sweeney Todd soundtrack! Happy listening! :sing:

That a great way to use it, stroch. I know you earned it. I think I may want to get that sound track too just to have Johnny whenever I want to hear him.

Congratulations on your prizes, Noodlemantras.
If there's one thing that Liz and DIDHOT know how to do really well, it is give lovely treasures - (along with being gracious and welcoming hostesses and moderators and setting fantastic questions and chairing wonderful debates and working their behinds off...)
But seriously, ladies, I know you earned the prizes too
