I just happened to notice that today is Alexandre Dumas's birthday.

Well I am glad he seemed to live his life to the fullest and still managed to leave behind so many great adventure stories for the rest of us to relive. I see Mr Dumas was a Leo. Did he live up to his astrology Leo the lion, Parlez?
Wikipedia says
A person born under the sign of Leo is very:
 Creative [6] • Proud • Risk-taking
 Fun-loving • Dramatic • Dignified • Theatrical
 Passionate • Affectionate • Ardent • Loyal
 Loves attention • Very strong • Independent
 Noble • Leader • Sunny • Bright
 Magnetic • Kingly • Powerful • Enthusiastic [6]
 Protective •Adoring •Playful • Inventive
 Generous [6] • Supportive • Warm • Broad-minded
 Expansive • Faithful • Warmhearted •Loving
Sounds pretty accuate to me.

Aye! Astrologically speaking, he lived up to his Leo sun sign with gusto! I'm reminded of the quote I posted before from the foreword in my copy of The Vicomte de Bragelonne :
"Dumas...always took his own sunshine with him wherever he went..."

That's a Leo through and through!

Happy Birthday, M. Dumas! :frenchie:

Methinks there is something to this thing called Astrology. I know I fit into the Libra category.

Without getting too off-topic here, I assume we'll be getting to astrology's reputation as a tool for the 'dark arts' before TCD tidbits come to an end... yikes! :fear:

Well, As much as I don't like to believe in anything like the dark arts actually working, I am certainly like Liz in having a hard time fighting my belief that astrology is similar. I have lived too many years as a Gemini and read too many things that are too true to my behavior to dismiss it.

I am with you on this one Liz and that is saying a lot because I tried to ignore it for many years.
I cant wait for what you have to say about astrology's reputation as a tool for the dark arts, Parlez.
And I was truly being honest when I read the traits of being a Leo after all we have recently read about Dumas.
