Xaxis, thanks for the beautifully written tribute to TPAOL. We look forward to the film too.
You can't judge a book by its cover.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.

I am very late writing this reply. Sorry about that.
I just wanted to say that I did enjoyed reading the book very much . And I would definitely recommend it to others.
I was in way over my head on the discussions though, but I want to thank you all for everything you have shared about this book. It has been very interesting,
And I especially want to say thank you for all the research that you ladies have done and shared with the rest of us.
It has been a great supplement to the book, and has helped shed some light on so many things that might otherwise have been confusing.

Constance, no worries about being late with your reply. Thanks for coming over to give your final impressions. I agree I would recommend the book but I think I would provide some of the background information on the setting, history, etc. That really helped me to understand and to appreciate the story.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -
Wow! What a ride!
